Francis Leach questioned the morality and "complete accuracy" of the article, as well as the haste to get it out as an exclusive.Ghost Like wrote:Actually enjoyed Taylor last week, he too the p!ss out of Jako when he was starting to tear up about the umpiring.Stillwaiting wrote:Yes he is a tool, but I despise Barrett and halfamain just as much, and taylor when he is calling saints games.

Ricky Nixon, manager of one of the players involved has questioned the actions of the Principal of the school that the young lady attends.
A lot of mud throwing by people wanting to be heroes (principal, Robbo, Hun Editor), all of whom ended up with egg on their faces by NOT getting the full story before running with it.
Would be interested to know the official (and unofficial) view of the club on this !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Come on journos, what's up your sleeve next?
The true story should never have been told in this fashion.
Another case of the media making there own stories and all the radio media following suit.
Did anyone ever think of the 17yo girl in all of this? What if she didn't cope and was found to have harmed herself because of the public shame?
She's done nothing more than millions of woman her age have done before her....but she gets media shame and public humiliation.
Disgraceful.

His response would see him win the Tour de France whilst riding backwards, he was back-pedalling that fast. Tried to put it all on the Editor and also tried to get across that The Hun was being "Big Hearted" by having the story on Page 10 and not the Front Page.Ghost Like wrote:Cheers Eastern. Things seemed to get a bit heated there for a while (Ox gave minimal support to Leach). It might be that the producer could sence that things could get out of hand and interviened !!

It was a gutless performance from Robinson. Apparently nobody "understands" how journalism "works" according to him.Eastern wrote: His response would see him win the Tour de France whilst riding backwards, he was back-pedalling that fast. Well this is how it works in the Murdoch empire of filth and trash.
SELL NEWSPAPERS!!!! Doesn't matter how. Get the most sensational story, hopefully involving footballers and sex, and put it out firsts so the punters will buy our product first and not the oppositions.
Screw the people involved, screw the facts, just print anything that will sell.
As Dr Turf said the other day, you would be better off reading MAD Magazine, it makes more sense.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Thats about all I can add.
