I would rate Geary closer to the mark than any of the four mentioned above, but he seems to have gone suddenly out of favour for some reason.
saintsRrising, you are deluded if you are suggesting that Eddy's kicking is anywhere near being up to scratch. Eddy is ok receiving and disposing of the ball by hand, is a good positional player, a willing worker and a hard tackler, but his passes by foot are long, slow and looping and make it easy for the opposition to move in on the recipient.
If it had been up to me, I'd have brought back Geary. But it wasn't, and I reckon Eddy will do ok. All of these guys are fringe players (as will be Gwilt soon enough if he can't improve on last week's effort).
I'm starting to agree with those who see McQualter as being a bit lucky to hold on to his spot.
I thought that Mini had a better year last year to this year to date, but going on stats alone there is not too much difference.
Last Year Average Disposals 14.4 Marks 2.5 Tackles 4.7 Goals 0.9 per match.
This Year Average Disposals 13.7 Marks 4.3 Tackles 3.8 Goals 0.3 per match.
There is not that much difference, Mini's tackle count is down, but so is the side as a whole.
The goal scoring is down but so is the side without Roo.
At the same time last year we scored 145 goals 104 behinds
This year at the same time after R9 is 110 goals 73 behinds
