To the WA Supporters
I clearly heard you guys singing the song with about 5 minutes to go so well done.
It's great to have a supporter base on the West Coast.
Hope you guys have a great night.

Massive +1. My dad's mate commented he thought you made more noise than you generally hear at Etihad, not sure about that but nonethless great effort and glad for all you long-suffering fans out West, we've now won 4 out of our last 5 in WA.Milan Faletic wrote:I clearly heard you guys singing the song with about 5 minutes to go so well done.

I feel it helped our boys lift. When 17 down and the chants were still going... They gave back. Again great work everyone

Re: To the WA Supporters
The reason you could hear us was : The eagle supporters don't barrack, they only do so when they are a few goals in front and by 15 minutes before the end of the game Subi was almost empty as the Eagle supporters had a train to catch, they were leaving in their droves.Milan Faletic wrote:I clearly heard you guys singing the song with about 5 minutes to go so well done.

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
made it confusing to listen to, sometimes it's hard to get a full running of whats happening so the crowd noise can sometimes help. The roar with some of the goals made me think we had missed....gringo wrote:Well done guys, could hear you on the SEN radio coverage and thought we must have sent an army over from melbourne as well.
The bombers game was so quiet at etihad it felt like no one was there, keep it up.

Don’t forget the cheer squad
I saw many familiar faces on TV from the cheer squad, and non cheer squad members. so well done to those that flew over for the game. the floggers looked pretty good on TV also, stood out from that Gold and Blue.

If you are coming to the Freo game, consider coming along to the Western Saints pre-game function. Like the Eagles game last weekend, we are having it at the President's room at Subi Footy Club at the Western end of Subi Oval. Its just an easy stroll from there to our seats, and the room is open for after game drinks as well. From my perspective as just one of the committee members it was a great success on Sunday. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere with no rush to get to and away from the game. There is a reasonable selection of beer on tap at reasonable prices, the finger food was good, and it was good to see a few familiar faces. With the function starting at 12 noon it meant that people who attended got parking close to the ground. Although we closed bookings at 120 people for the Eagles function, we will probably allow a few more for the Freo one. Details re bookings should come out by email/newsletter in the next few days.

Good point. Yes, we are looking into having coffee available for the Freo function (hopefully before and after the game)saintbrat wrote:saint64 wrote:If you are coming to the Freo game, consider coming along to the Western Saints pre-game function. I then went around to my seat and the queue for coffee was so long that I had a chocolate donut instead.

Question without notice..
Watching the Freo v Collingwood game lasta week, the "left of screen" end on TV seemed to be a sea of Magpie fans, yet Ive read on here often that only a small % of even WA Saints fans can get seats at Subi for our games, let alone the "army of travelling fans" that they talked about at the Pies game..that all seemed to be able to sit together behind those goals, spreading far and wide away from what would be the Cheer Squad area
Are Freo games really that much easier to get tickets to, or does the Filth have a special deal that gives their fans far more tickets than other visiting Clubs?
..and yes ill add my voice of congratulations to the noise you guys made on Sunday. Song heard loud and proud on TV well before the end
