No change

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Only possible change is Steven in for Mini.

Dawson stays. His job is preventing goals, and he did.

No change. McQualter improved this week I think and will get another run around. More likely to be Heyne for Steven if anything, but I'll say nothing doing.

I really disagree on McQualter's improvement.

He had 7 touches and 5 tackles, of which 3 came in a 20 second period in the 3rd term.

He's done precious little all year.

All though just looking at his stats they aren't that much worse.

2009: Ave 14 pos 4 tackles 1 goal
2010: Ave 13 pos 4 tackles 0.3 goals

Just hasn't been bobbing up for goals we desperately need.

keep at it, I wanted stanley, heyne and macca all in the same team. Wanted forwards to come in and play forward whilst the backs play back. After a month and a half it happened. Dreams do come true
I would like to see us blood a young backman right now, see if we can find something better 1-1 then dawson. Next two weeks are against teams whose forwards (outside riewoldt) that are not firing.

But on the topic, no change would be nice. At worst either armo/steven come in for a struggling mini

Improved? Geez, then how shyte must he have been last week? He has absolutely no impact on the game whatsoever. We'd be better off getting AFL game time into Steven that continuing to play McQualter if he's not delivering. I'd happily play McQualter version 2009 but this year he's been woeful.

I'm not sure about McQualter, I had been putting his performances down to the lack of opportunities up forward. But it was up our end quite a bit tonight, and he was still unsighted to a large degree.

I'm glad I don't have to make the decision, his inclusion seems 50/50. What will Jack Steven bring to the table that McQualter cannot?

Hard to see Armitage getting a game without having played.

Steven, Eddy and Geary all in front of him based on emergency selections...Something tells me they are not happy with his game after not making the 25.

McQualter was gone at half time, but played a much better second half, as did many others.
Only change may be Heyne out for Steven.

What did McQualter do in the 2nd half other than take his disposal tally from a measly 2 to a paltry 7. Granted he did technically improve after half time, but it's not hard to improve on 2 touches.

I want Armo to come back in, not because it's deserved, but because Lenny is going to burn out if he has to win all the contested ball on his own.

Fire up Armo, please.

I don't think Dawson should be in the team but he won't get dropped. Heyne is learning and showing some glimpses, he deserves another week. McQualter has had one decent game for the year and did nothing today to earn his spot. Steven or Armo for Mini hopefully.

Didn't say I think he SHOULD get another run around, just that I think he will. I would have dropped him for this week, but seeing as he wasn't, I don't see him getting dropped this week.

I'll also go with no change, but I also agree with SainterK in that another inside midfielder is required.

I wonder if it is worth throwing McQualter into the midfield for a bit with the instruction to throw his body at the ball. Wasn't he drafted as a mid?

I just think we could do with an extra specialist mid, i think Dawson could afford to be cut to provide that.
For me.

OUT: Dawson
IN: Armitage/Steven

Maybe Armitage was spelled - no ressies game this week so he was given a week off - was a reason given as to why he was left out of the 25??

He hits the contest very hard at times and maybe he had a bit of general soreness - a week off footy might be just what his body needed

Doubt that. He also missed a week earlier.

i know hes not doing enough and we need more goals for him. but he was ok. did some real desperate stuff in that 3rd quarter. hard to drop him. but agree he needs a goal or 2.

Lenny could certainly do with the support at the contest. Is our backline top heavy with Dawson, Blake, Fisher, Gilbert and Gwilt? Maybe we could afford to drop a tall defender (i.e. Dawson) to bring in another midfielder.
