Geelong Game - Reserved Seat Tickets

Post: # 925360Post mordi »

I can't see a thread on this already.....(apologies if missed)

All reserved seat holders should have received an email/letter with details on how to get your "free" reserved seat. Key point to note is, get your rego number ( I got mine , but had to ring club for kids) , and opens today at 1.00pm.

Dear Member,
Re: Round 13 St Kilda v Geelong, MCG, Friday June 25, 2010
Reserved Seat Holder Information
Thank you for signing up as a 2010 reserved seat holder with St Kilda Football Club and playing your part in Saints footy.
As part of your membership entitlement, the St Kilda Football Club has negotiated a deal with the MCC securing access
to a seat for our annual reserved seat holders for what is building as one of the most important games of the year;
Round 13 St Kilda v Geelong Cats, MCG, Friday June 25, 2010 at 7:40pm.
St Kilda reserved seat holders will have the opportunity to obtain a complimentary reserved seat
at the MCG from 1pm Monday May 17, 2010 until 5pm Friday June 11, 2010. If you do not obtain
seats during this period, you will be required to purchase a seat for this game at the full retail rate through
Ticketek from 9am Thursday June 17, 2010.

Here are the seats they have given us ( not bad actually)

Level 1 behind the goals members Southern Stand - M1-M3
Level 1 on the wing members and Level 3 members - Southern Stand - M6–M16 ½
Level 2 members - Southern Stand - N1-N11
Olympic Stand -N51-N56 ½

I haven't received hard copy, only the email.

I'm a reserved seat holder and got two email and a letter last week. Other members of my family got no emails or letters and had to call the club this morning for the reservation numbers. So if you haven't received anything call the club now.

What about the Ponsford Stand?
In previous games we as reserved seat holders could sit in the Ponsofrd. This time we get ot sit in the outer without cover in 6 and a half bays of seats. Hope it doesn't rain.

So my question is are we as a club getting diddled, ripped off or ignored with the fact that this is our home game.

if it was the filith, their contract is quite clear, their social club members have full access to the Ponsford?

We managed to get ours straight away - M15 Row T - not impressed with the wording of the letter saying we can obtain a "complimentary" ticket. The ticket is not FREE as we have already paid for it.

Got my "free" ticket in M14 Row S.

I wonder how many of these tickets will end up on ebay if we continue our shyte form?

I love it how the tickets are only "free" if you use internet ticketing!

We got our 8 in N31, Row B

I logged on about 3:30pm and eventually found where I was supposed to go on their website.

No problems - these were the first option they gave me - bewteen the 50m and wing - as good as I would expect!

Any word on Social club seating for this game. I gather from that email that there is no special seating for Social club. Not happy with that. Will have to book something I guess. Anyone know when the normal reserve seating goes on sale?

Got our group of 9 at about 7.45pm. M14 Row U but theres really no bad seats in that allocation

Id be really dissapointed if there was no Social Club facilities..its our freaking home game. I remember a home game there we played a few years ago where they forgot to allocate a SC area til quite late....and ended up being on Level 2 of the Ponsford Stand where that dining room is..and the seats in front

Yes Id definately contact the Club

M11 Row Y.

I presume they are starting with M16 and moving towards the goals.

The home clubs at the MCG generally have their Social Club pre/after match functions on Level 2 in the Southern Stand saint66au, the Hassett room I think. I'd be surprised (and disappointed) if this wasn't the case for us.

No idea on Social Club seating though. It's probably something you should be raising with the club now SaintNick rather than a couple of weeks before the game.

My reserved seats are on the wing at ES and the club have given us reserved seats on the wing/flank in the Southern Stand.

The last place I would want to be is behind the goals.

All of the home clubs at the MCG with the exception of Collingwood have their reserved seats/social club/functions in the Southern and Olympic Stands.

Thanks for the update Sunil. I was planning on calling today but hadn't got around to it due to work commitments. You have saved me the call. I will wait a few days for the email update.
Glad to hear there is at least some provision made for social club seeing it is our home game.
