Roo - Comments in the 'Robert Harvey Room' yesterday.....

Post: # 925259Post saint75 »

What do a 'couple of handfuls' equate to in terms of weeks?

This is how far from before the finals start that Roo said he would return. Don't want him rushed back. Would rather him take longer to return than to come back and injure himself. However, the comments did piquet my curiousity.......

So what are a 'couple of handfuls'?

I heard that too. I heard they are aiming at round 16 which is 6 weeks before the finals, but if he keeps improving the way he has been, could be earlier. Agree we don't want to rush it though...

That was what I thought. So 10 weeks out from the finals is Round 12? Surely not...??

He spoke very well yesterday. Looked fit. I am looking forward to his return later in the season (preferably much later!).

THink he is hopeful for somewhere between one and two. - ie 6-10 weeks. That seems to be the accepted thinking at the moment. He looked good yesterday, though looks much better in his footy strip than in that suit.

6-8 weeks = 'a couple of handfuls', IMO (round 16).

And 'a piece of string' is about 40cm long...

Actually, I thought he looked quite good in that suit to be honest.....however, that is from a females point of view!

I'm a female too, and yes he looked good in the suit, but prefer him in the footy outfit

6-8 And will not be rushed under any circumstances.

needs to be careful with the rehab and avoid any setbacks along the way.

can't over do it.

Yeah Ok, you didn't hear it here first

But that was a specific date mentioned to me by someone who would know.

Happens to correspond directly ( give it a day or 3) with the words from the great man himself.

Just trying to be more specific

Perhaps we could start quantifying our injury list this way.

Riewoldt - 2 handfuls
Gram - half a handful
etc

Might be nearly as accurate as what we get now.

So that is 8 weeks away from playing again. As I said in another post Gibson puts himself three weeks ahead in his rehab and Roo has stated he is 2 weeks ahead publicly (but possibly more privately) so hopefuuly if we can get some wins on the board before his return and then not have to expect that he will win us games alone we should be priming up for a tilt at the finals.

Even allowing for his early departure in the last quarter, how the hell did he only end up with 7???

Should have bagged at least 25
