also dawson should miss a couple.... nothing against the guy but he has to find some confidence looked lost today.... hopefully he can come back in 2-3 weeks a new man
the positive in that is we have to try something new... and he can sort his issues what ever they may be out... really hope he does hes normally a good contributer to our team

We are 5 and 3 and are in the 8 with a comfortable percentage
People calling up on talkback saying that we are gone for all money
Laughable stuff - better that we are playing average footy now than later in the season - we cannot get any worse
Even if we go 7 and 7 for the rest of the H&A we will make the 8
West Coast (away)
Adelaide (home)
Richmond (away)
Melbourne (home)
Hawthorn (home)
Essendon (away)
Port (home)
North Melbourne (away)
Richmond (home)
Adelaide (away)
10 extremely winnable games right there
We have Roo to come back and Gram to slot back in
Have faith!!!

After the last 4 weeks I'd say we'd be lucky to win 5 of those.Devilhead wrote:We are 5 and 3 and are in the 8 with a comfortable percentage

We've already lost to Port and Essendon and I can't see us beating West Coast next week, I was still positive till tonight, but the doubts have surfaced.
If you can't kick goals you can't win and we don't kick goals plus we look slow.
There has to be a major turnaround in form for us to comeback from this.
I know people like to see things in a good light, I hope you are right, but as things stand now we are not a top 4 team.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

That's so true. The reality totally hit after this loss and it was a lonely trip home tonight.plugger66 wrote:Yep. Wow might make the 8. What does that achieve. At least the opportunities were there this week, unlike the game against the Blues. Pace means little if your skills are crap...seems like that's where some improvement needs to be made. Unfortunately, when the chips are down, this is normally the area that suffers...not to many skillful teams in the bottom 4.3rd generation saint wrote:If you can't kick goals you can't win and we don't kick goals plus we look slow.
Looks like we'll have no choice but to keep our backs on the backline, with Gram down and Zac looking like getting a holiday. However, what can be done with the forwardline before next weeks game in the West is anyone's guess. I'm not expecting a win, so maybe it's a good time to experiment with the likes of Stanley, Lynch, Gaertner, whatever???
He jogged off the ground from the huddle at 3 quarter time.SaintTom wrote:Talking about Gram, do we have any preliminary ideas about his hamstring? Has it been flagged as a disaster or potentially back next week?

Good news. Figured it couldn't be too bad otherwise there would be at least half the number of Raph threads about his hamstring.battye wrote:He jogged off the ground from the huddle at 3 quarter time.SaintTom wrote:Talking about Gram, do we have any preliminary ideas about his hamstring? Major positive was Gardiner. He didn't look old and cumbersome tonight, he was quick, good with ruck work, effective around the ground and always impresses me with his marking. He is the number one positive I'll take out of this game, if he can keep this up he'll become more and more important. Had more pace than I thought a guy for his age and size could possibly have.
Why is it crap. I want a flag not to be an also ran. Typical will be right attitude.Devilhead wrote:Typical negative spineless crap!!!plugger66 wrote:Yep. Wow might make the 8. Luckily the Hawks didn't take that attitude into the 2008 finals series, or the Crows in 1997 and 1998!plugger66 wrote:Why is it crap. I want a flag not to be an also ran.
