The press went to the winners press conference first.
Unfortunately Andrew Demetriou had told the media that the Bulldogs would win.
Regretably the umpires failed in their assignment to help the puppies win despite only giving St Kilda 2 frees for the entire 2nd half.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Does anyone know what actually happened?

Wires got crossed about the time of the press conference? Boycott by the media? Something else?

The Bulldog supporters went home immediately after the match.
That meant there were no journalists left to attend the St Kilda media conference.

The coach or club get fined if they don't turn up for press conference, he was quite amused by no show of media. Remember folks if ya have to win ugly then so be it.
