Your all muppets

Post: # 915279Post meher baba »

(To quote the illustrious, dearly departed CarlosA.)

All of you who've spent the past six days bagging our boys, especially McQualter, who stood up in the last quarter.

You can all get nicked AFAIC

Even if we had of lost, we kept the bulldogs to a very very low score. Someone posted this week that the bulldogs were so free flowing they would smash us.

WRONG

We wore them down

I do not consider myself a great judge, but I could not work out all the bagging of Mini

Two 6 day breaks in a row, we wore them down, great fighting spirit.
Great finish boys.

Well, I'm watching the reply here in SA at the moment, and must say it doesn't appear anything like the posts on the game thread make it out to be...good hard game of footy, the Dogs have been rolling the dice and getting away with it, obviously I'm yet to see us reel them in, but I'm looking forward to it.

The Dogs also suffered a tough game last week, had a short break, and are missing a key player...good even match, but it looks like the better team previals, of course. :P

To be fair I had considered the possibilty of McQ being dropped although I didn't voice them.

Dropping a player doesn't always mean they're a scapegoat or that they're a whipping boy etc. sometimes a player needs a go in the ressies to get some form back.

We all know what Mini is capable of but his form this season had been less than spectacular.

We can't become complacent, all players have to earn their spot.

Playing well for 5 minutes of a game doesnt earn you a spot in the side, nor should it keep it.

Bulldogs did NOT have a short break. They played last Friday night. They are missing a key mid we were missing the best player in the comp who is also a KPP in the fwd line. BIG difference imo.

Sorry, my bad. Doesn't make my point any less relevant however. Even contest, nowhere near as dreadful as the game thread made it out to be.

I never bagged Mini, I just think 2 goals from 6 games is a low return for a small forward...even if the word defensive is included in the title.

McQ's contested mark in the last minute or so was great too.
BTW, I was the first person to call McQ, McQ just in case you're intersted and also Nicky Dal NDS.
So there.

Well I am happy to fess up about Mini, though I didn't "bag" him. I just believe his kicking for goal since the GF has been poor and I stand by that.
