Anyone have a contact at the Club for recruitment
Folks
My newphew is a promising footballer (see attached article in The Adelaide Advertisier) and he is a keen Saints supporter from a very St Kilda family (his parents moved to Adelaide for work reasons).
Does anyone have an email address for a contact at the club so I can alert them of his potential.
If in the very remote chance that he did get recruited to a club as a rookie, we would love it to be the Saints. Our family has followed them for generations and his ailing grandmother would be so proud if it could be her beloved Sainters.
Hope I attached the link correctly, not a seasoned poster
Cheers
Mark

It can't hurt to send a copy of the article to the St Kilda recruitment department at the club offices in Moorabbin.
But don't get your hopes up.
Failing a 3km time trial is often indicative of a shortage of prior training.
That shortage can be due to injury or not enough hunger.
But then Nicky Dal was carrying puppy fat when St Kilda recruited him.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Peake - I think his first name is John also (pretty sure he isn't related to Brett though)Saint Bev wrote:They are open to hear about up and coming players. Get in contact with the guy who took over from John Beverage, sorry I don't know his name. Someone on here would.
Definitely call the club, send across the link as well...I'm sure they'll be open to looking far and wide for latter picks/rookie selections!
The Saints are coming!

With the drafts being as they will in the next 2-3 years, clubs will be searching far and wide for "diamonds in the rough", especially since there has been so much success with guys from rookie lists and the VFL, etc in recent times. Hopefully they'll free their minds and be open to all possibilities. Like how Melbourne found Liam Jarrah.
