Storm done for salary cap cheating over 5 years.

All Premierships and minor premierships stripped.
Massive fines.

No more points for any games yet played this year. Corrent points stripped.

Waldron, who recently left, must have been in it up to his neck!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Just to clarify since I wrote the OP it has been pointed out that it is just the Premierships in the 5 year period that have been stripped off the Storm.

Evidently the salary Cap Auditor found a second set of books in another room.

Reminiscent of the "Blues" who got done by the AFL Auditors who found "notes" on the Blues Books indicating cheating.

So if you are going to cheat...don't leave the evidence around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a matter of having it in for them. Is a matter of the Storm having massively cheated.

Well they technically played for more money...

Surely someone could have done the math in the four walls of the football club and figure out that it is rather difficult to keep a team with Smith, Inglis, Cronk and Slater in the team plus a few other decent players on a good wicket..

Come on now...most sportsmen are dumb but at least a few would have done the maths...

it was 1.7 Million over 5 years which is only 300k a year. Pretty hard for the players to work it out that well.

Who says it is to do with him? If there were two sets of books as previously mentioned...who had access to these books? Hell it could have been an agreement between News Limited and a creative accountant that nobody else knew about. It equates to over 300k a season so it is a quality player additional on the roster per year.

It could involve the entire organising or only 2 people. If the payments were amde to mutiple players over the 5 year stretch they players involved would not have received too much extra annually.

Bit weird this one
