Gwilty As Charged...

Post: # 908499Post Milton66 »

Unabashed fan of the 'fro.

Really gone up a level or 2 this year. Love his skills and he's really starting to use his body strength.

Hope he makes HBF his spot this year.

If we have "8 pomit" games, then Jimmy is an "8 goal" player... he saves 4, and allows BJ up fwd to kcik 4.

Go Jimmy go! :D

Agreed, has been fantastic so far this season, in a number of roles.

Is a great 'utility' sort of player to have, as long as he knows his role. Was great to see him using his body strength correctly, and that long raking left foot into the forward line...

he may get dropped this week. Who else will get dropped for kosi?

Ross Lyon clearly prefers Raph's run through the lines, which he showed today. they will have to drop Gwilt or Zac I reckon.

Gwilt is miles ahead of RAph at the moment. I'd be shocked to see him dropped. I reckon Zac would be on thin ice TBH.

He will not make way, I think King will go for Kosi and he may play rotating ruck / forward?

Do I need to say again how happy I am Gwilty is in the side? :)

Nice thread title by the way...I am personally hoping the thread title about Geary can be changed to 'stepping it up a geary'

The fact that neither King or Gardiner played forward tonight shows that we need 2 dedicated ruckmen. If either of them go out McEvoy will come in after BOG at Sandy today.

I am loving Gwilt aswell btw I just can't figure out how to get Kosi back in.

That was against Sandilands though, Brogan is very good, but he doesn't have Lade in support anymore.

Agreed, but Raph is RL's love child. I would think the another bad performance next week by zac and could be back to sandy.

Thought King was really good in the second half, and also had a good second half last week against the cats, I also agree that a 2 genuine ruck strategy is important to our structure.

Gwilt very good and not much chance of being dropped IMO. His disposal is excellent and is very attacking with his decision making, always kicks to advantage and his composure under preassure has really improved. Having a good year so far.

I agree, Gwilt has not only been steady in a crisis but also explosive off the backline!
Zac looks lost atm he can't seem to read the play at all, maybe a run at Sandy would help restore his confidence....he needs something!!

No no, in his whole career, he has always liked r.clarke.
When asked about raph in the press he just about has an orgasm

Gwilt's long low pass into the forward line in the first qtr was sensational.

Haven't checked yesterdays stats, but as of the start, he was averaging 23 possies a game.

And I don't think there have been too many short chip cheapies amongst them.

GT also had that continued faith in Raph. One of the few things that both Grant and Ross actually have in common. I remember GT saying that Raph has what it takes to be an All Australian defender. The skill is there, it's the decision making that makes his a coach killer.

Gwilt has been our big improver this year.

Raph's first game back was excellent.
Zac has been in poor form. His second half against Freo as a key forward was easily his best two quarters of the year including the NAB.

Now most teams do not have two good big forwards.

We have tall defenders in Gilbert, Fisher and Blake.

So if one of Zac, Raph or Gwilt has to go IMO it should be Zac.

I thought Zac looked pretty good up front in the second half....doubt he will get dropped.....

I thought Peake was pretty ordinary, not sure what his stats were like, but he needs to find more of the pill...
