GENERAL FORUM RE-OPENED FOR ONE MONTH TRIAL

UPDATE:No log-in or registration required for Gen Forum from 25/7/10 for one month.

General Forum is now a NON-SPORTS forum

Opposition Forum is now Opposition/General Sports Discussion Forum

If a thread warrants discussion on the Fan Forum and is about any opposition, the Mods will use their discretion and leave the thread on the Fan Forum. Conversely, the Mods will move a thread if it does not warrant discussion on the Fan Forum.

Again, this is a trial from 25/7/10 for one month.

As part of the recent restructuring of this forum, we have made the decision to make a few changes regarding the General Forum.

From now on, the General Forum will only be visible to LOGGED IN users.

Secondly, it will be an unrestricted (open) join-only usergroup. This means that to access the General Forum, you will have to add yourself to the usergroup, and if you dont want to be associated with it you dont have to.

some people donate some people dont

so really, those that pay and those that do the work in making sure it runs and is up online, own the forum
imo

own might be too strong a word, lets say those that donate are contributors to the running and ownership.

speaking of which, how far ahead is the forum re its 'bill'
when is the next server cost due??

having to be approved to get into a general area of the forum is a bit steep, but if thats the way its going then mehhh, what ya gonna do

forum members

as in people who post here

some do some dont
some can afford it and donate
some cant

bit like the player sponsorships.
theres a yearly fee to keep the site online im guessing
so it would seem only fair if peeps chip in what they can, otherwise the admins etc would have to pay for the site for the privilege of us 'communicating' about the saints

Forum Finances
A couple of years ago we ran an 'appeal' to cover the hosting costs of the site. Up until that time all hosting costs had been borne by the owner(s).
We raised sufficient funds to cover last year and this year. Unless there is a massive increase in hosting costs next year, then we still have sufficient funds to cover it as well.

Battye receives an account when payment is due and passes it on to me to pay.
