Given you can't tie the big guy down, if he returns fit and firing mid season, charging home towards September....I could live with that.
He said on his TV interview on 7 last night he had done it once before...a minor one. He said it was about 4 years ago, from memory.
Agree that fit and firing mid season...can certainly live with that. When the rumours went around last night at the game about it being off the bone, we thought that was pretty much season for him,....they would have tried to bring him back late but it would have been very, very hard. Seems that the FOX news was saying the source was from the Saints so hopefully that is correct. Can definately live with 6...need to get him right for the run home. Look at Geelong...got all theirs fit at the right time of the year....thats what we have to try and make sure happens this year to give ourselves the best chance.

Sa Saint dont worry the Hammy is a muscle/ tendon at the top where he was grabbing last night. No drama it is like any other muscle tendon inj. It is said like that b/c the hammy becomes a tendon which joins to the bone.
It is when this tendon detaches off the bone that it becomes a 6 Month inj.
he'll be back in 2 months tops IMO. the only reason it will be so long is that because its so high up on his hammy their isnt enough blood circulation through their compared to the rest of the hammy. therefore it will take longer to heal.
i think the club will just asses its options send him over to europe get him the best help. eg the guy who max rooke went to when he had the same injury albeit worse off and was expected to miss a MINIMUM of 14 WEEKS he was back in 7.
everyone would most likely be better off not listening to the tosser docter peter larkins. he makes it sound like his will never be able to play again and if he does if wont be able to move....
Spot on Sainter 4 with the blood that is why I'm sure he will be off to Germany or the US to have the latest blood injecting technology applied to his Hamstring. I wouldn't be surprised if he is back in 6.

You'd assume the club would be pulling out all stops to ensure he has the very best treatment, wouldn't you? It'd be better for us if he underwent expensive treatment to ensure he wasn't sitting on the pine for 10 weeks IMO, even if it bought us a fortnight.
eppo67 wrote:A big call that me may be off overseas to get the very latest treatment. Why is that such a big call.
Plugger 66 are you just argumentitive for the sake of it or what?
Well you have in back in 6 after treatment overseas. maybe the injury he has can be fixed in Melbourne. we are all guessing but at the moment you are guessing the most. I dont care where he goes for treatment if he isback in 6 so hopefully you are right.

I think that is only used for recurring hammy not once offs like this
Phew, that's a relief that it isn't off the bone or an avulsion fracture or anything devastating like that. Hammys are particularly vulnerable because they are streched across two joints.
