Best ever performance?
I can remember one game on (?) Anzac Day in the early 90s where wewon a titanic struggle in the mud by less than a goal (can't even remember who we played: getting old).
That was good, but tonight was better I think.
That said, how bad were the Pies? How did they miss all those shots on goal?

We butchered plenty in the first half too...you could swear there was a breeze blowing right to left in the 1st, out kicking was so wayward.
Roo's ankle probably counted for two misses, why he wasn't awarded a 50m penalty and Leigh Brown not reported, god only knows...part of Collingwood's charm over the umpiring fraternity. I hope the MRP picks it up.
Great stuff from the Saints, we beat everything!

A famous win. Pure courage. Exactly why I love this club and this team.
We can win with two of our best off the field and with No 7 with a caved in face. We swarm like bees. We rise to the occasion. We never give up. We are a brick wall.
Could well derail Pies season.
And for everyone on here who ever said we have no plan B when there's no Riewoldt take a long hard look at yourselves.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
Gutsiest Saints win I can remember..... I was worried when Roo , and then Fisher went off... everyone stood up, no-one quit.. a proud day for the club and another example of our motto personified.
Hope Roo gets himself right soon... Stanley and McEvoy now have an enormous opportunity.. Who wants it more?

Thanks, it will be a close game tomorrow, so nervous. Lions so need to make the top 4 - just like you guys. Can't wait until X Clarke is fit to play for us. Great second half display tonight. was a great win for many reasons. and it was incredible. but a few recent games we have to stack it up against:
1. rd 14 v geelong last year?
2. harvey's 350th v west coast?
3. v adelaide qf a couple of years ago?
4. prelim v doggies last year?
loved the win tonight. but the other ones were pretty special.

Perhaps to Schulz, Merrett should go to Tredrea.degruch wrote:Goose will be interesting to watch...Tredrae?Lion Cozi wrote:Thanks, it will be a close game tomorrow, so nervous.
