Probably the only thing in his favour is that he can say he was shepherding for BJ, but he'll still get weeks because he got him in the head. If he has carryover points, he'll probably be out for at least 3.
Gardi to come in and BJ has to spend some more time up forward, including at FF.

No they haven't as that would imply that he is innocent.saintkid wrote:All the media have crucified him. Nathan Brown just said on Channel 9 he is looking at 3-4 weeks.
Given the new rules for such contact, Kosi did it and will go. So the only real discussion is how many weeks he will cop.

Getting back to the issue of a replacement for Kosi: given that Raph apparently went well for Sandy, I'd be inclined to bring him back and reshuffle. If we put Gardi in for King as well, I think we would have enough tallish players who can go into the forward 50.
The other options don't appeal as much to me. Stanley and Lynch haven't done enough, and - as age of the dinosaurs movies don't do much for me - the idea of Gardi, King and Big Mac playing in the same side doesn't appeal.

It's possible they'll rush Raph back in,they always have...meher baba wrote:Getting back to the issue of a replacement for Kosi: given that Raph apparently went well for Sandy, I'd be inclined to bring him back and reshuffle. They're line of thinking might be Raph to halfback, and push Gwilt into the forward line. They used Gwilt in this role for a game last year...may have been the Brisbane game?
Gardiner in for King. He and Big Mac can float forward.

Id be inclined to have Raph in the backline and have Gwilt as a foward. It worked ok when we used it before.bigcarl wrote:or maybe leave gwilt where he is and try raph as a forward.jonesy wrote:[They're line of thinking might be Raph to halfback, and push Gwilt into the forward line.

Since when does "crucify" imply innocence?saintsRrising wrote:No they haven't as that would imply that he is innocent.saintkid wrote:All the media have crucified him. Nathan Brown just said on Channel 9 he is looking at 3-4 weeks.

He'll probably get 2 or 3.

I dont know about playing Gwilt as a forward. He did not impress there last season. Dempster has also flopped as a forward. Give Raph a go there.
I would have given Rhys the first crack, but he is apparently injured. Not sure about which ruck to make way for Gardiner. Neither impressed me last night, but King had 18 taps to Bens 7.

Ok..on the question of who replaces Kosi in the 22.
Firstly who saw Sandi play? And from that who played well enough to push for senior selection?
Now I did not see the game bust evidently Gardi played very well backing up nicely on his other Sandi games.
Raph evidently too, but it was his first game back.
Who else played well enough?
SELECTION
Now Gardi fit, is our best ruckman. So irrespective of Kosi playing or not should push in if fit enough.
Now Lyon may rejig the team if Kosi goes out with a new forward structure (ie Gwilt to FF)..or he could try and play Ben there for some of the time for a similar structure.
