(not total conversation due to Forum Rules but the second GT quote is word for word)
GT: Him (Kosi) and McEvoy in the ruck is the answer I believe..
Caro: Is he overrated?
GT: No, he's definitely not overrated but I have to say that his output to this point of his career....he is overrated and he needs to have a big big year because to this point in time there's been huge expectations but he does have the ability to be one of the best in the business.

As usual GT contradicts himself in one sentence.
Oh, and I agree Kosi is overrated.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Where is the proof? Oh yeah...
What an absolute disgrace. Everyone knows Kosi is a notoriously slow starter!
If there were stats for smashing the packs and not gaining a touch then he would be an All Australian...
Or for that matter leading in the wrong direction, leading away from the ball or just aimlessly wondering around for 4 qtrs!
Don't worry though, he is a decoy. Kosi sacrifices his offense and probable 500k a year for the team. What a bloke.
Let's have national Kosi day.
All hail the great man.
Rant over.
PS - He is still in our best 22. He will come good soon. He takes there seond best defender. He has so much potential. He is working his way in to form. He is a great mark. He is the massiah. He will show you all. He has a bad back. He played really well for 5 games back in 2005.

It was on last year on one of the HD channels
Wasnt on tonight, usually on after 11.30pm, but not on any of the stations so it might be on at a later date
It started off last year that the Aussie rules footy show were on the HD stations for the first half of the year and then it changed to league on both...

It made complete sense to me.Milan Faletic wrote:I thought that too.Bernard Shakey wrote:As usual GT contradicts himself in one sentence.
There's obviously two elements to being 'overrated'.
One is 'does the ability exist to match the hype and/or expectation'?
And the second is 'is the current or recent performance matching the 'hype and/or expectation'?
What he said was (or the way I interpreted it) that the answer to the first part is 'no', and the answer to the second part is 'yes'.
I'd be surprised if anyone out there disagreed with that.

Fox - wrong way around. Even the right way around isn't terribly insightful.
Comment about Kosi attracting key defender is a good one, had a good season last year, let's hope he improves (like everyone else).
