Effectively, that's SIX WEEKS for a Grade 1 Hammy. Something ain't adding up here   !!

Maybe he re-injured it....?

Does that require an press announcement?

Good news. Looks like his injury did not amount to much.

Saw the first half of this game today.

Gardi moved well and played maybe half the time I saw.

Heyne and Lynch were both in the play, Lynch does some really good running off the ball to make position. Another runner is Rob Eddy, covers a lot of ground and when he rotates off you can tell he's left nothing out there.

Wind caused havoc with the quality of kicking and scoring - not sure what the score was but I'd say Willy must have been about 3.10 at half time.

Tommy Walsh has great hands, stood in a pack and plucked off a mongrel high ball in one grab - then handballed to a teammmate under pressure who gave it back to Tommy who then got pinged dead in front...

Walsh played the entire first half down back.

Rhys - didn't actually notice a lot of him but he can pick the ball up at ground level, I did notice that. He finished the half with a run in the ruck.

Should have taken a pen...

Cheers Iceman!

Im not surprised about playing Walsh back - Its a great way to learn to read the play....

Playing forward your creating the play, or at least influencing it.

Playing back your reacting to it....

Lynch seems to have a footballing mind - I like that.

Came off at the start of the second quarter last week and didn't reappear after a rather innocuous looking knee in the back. Probably needs to learn this is a contact sport.

Good to hear Walsh showing some progress. We could use Gardiner in Round 1. Eddy is the forgotten man, I really hope he gets back in to the team. Maybe a midfielder?

Is the Clarke hamstring weakness a family injury?

IMO it is a flow on from the GT era with the lack of core strength training, then once you sustain a hammy injury you are more likley for it to reoccur. I bet Raph still doesn't do the required squats / lunge work required.

Why would you say you think he still doesn't do them? We have the best fitness/conditioning man in the business at our club and you think he wouldn't have Raph doing the appropriate exercise!?! Ridiculous comment!!

More likely because of the frequent injury Raph now has a weakened hamstring, much more prone to tearing etc.

Soon to join Xavier at Brisbane.

Was it genetics or were these two sloppy with their stretching exercises earlier in their careers? They both have failed to deliver because of hamstring failures.

no scoreboard at Whitten Oval...but Williamstown won the seniors...not by a big margin...would have been a lot more if they had kicked straight

Very large buttock in that case. The bruise I saw was a good 3 inches above his right buttock.

Why is it ridiculous he still looks a lot more developed in the upper body than the lower body as are most of the SAINTS...

You only win, if you put more points on the scoreboard than your opponents!

Raph's run off halfback during the second half of the prelim got us into a grand final. He was also heavily responsible for us getting to the prelim in 2008.

He performs when needed and just like Jason Blake (a popular whipping boy in years gone by), he will continue to improve and then you wont be able to find anyone who will admit they used to pan him.

In an unrelated topic how come the Bulldogs are allowed by the AFL to expand their pathetic club yet rely on AFL money to survive year in year out?

Oh and Carlton as well. Carlton owe the AFL millions yet open us these amazingly awesome orgasmic facilities despite owning everyone everything

It a make a no sense!

Yep better if they just fold. Maybe we can get down to 10 clubs. Wouldnt that be good.
