I think the "at least" is significant. I suspect it will be longer. Two weeks till Round 1 and the first 4 rounds will be 6 weeks. My opinion is 8 weeks.

Not calling you a lier but I could've sworn Lyon was on sports tonight saying not as bad as first expected, but I may have miss heard (or Lyon was talking about not as bad as a full knee that they thought it could've been when he did it).

Yeah he said it was only minor but now saying worse. Are they hiding something again here with Fish?

For me...when I heard Lyon say that its worse than first thought......I was thinking 6-8 immediately.........

If the club say 4.....add a few on....

real...shame.

83 weeks.

As good a guess as anyone else.

This is going to be the first career-ending rolled ankle ever.

I can feel it.

You are just speculating on what someone says on the radio. Just because "at least" was added you think it will be 8 weeks. Someone at The Age says a return by round 4. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/s ... -q65a.html

does that mean a round 7 return or 4 to 6 weeks from today?

Who knows.

It shytes me with the media that they are too dumb not to eek out some better detail.

In any case, looks like Round 4 return at best.

We should have 3 wins on the board (Sydney game we may drop, the next 3 should be fine).

Well, good from bad (hopefully), I'm interested to see if this will create an opportunity for someone else...whether an rejunevated 'oldie' (e.g. Miles, L Fisher), a noob (e.g. Gaertner) or a change of positions.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

ST KILDA defender Sam Fisher looks set to be sidelined for up to six weeks after injuring his right ankle in Saturday night’s NAB Cup loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Fisher left the ground early in the game and went straight to the rooms, where he was seen icing his ankle.

He played no further part in the game.

Initial reports had Fisher missing the first three rounds of the season, but the Saints confirmed on Monday afternoon that he would be out for four to six weeks after undergoing an arthroscope.

6 weeks? Sounds like he broke his ankle, rather than "twisting it". Unless he severely tore ligaments.
