not sure? but i liked the look of him. everyone knows being the 3rd forward is a very hard position to play (not many chances, players tend to go through other avenues, keeping out of the other guys way etc etc) and he had a decent opponent - but he looks the goods. nice balanced player. and i can see what people mean when they compare him to stevie j. a long way to go - but stevie j wasnt that great at 19 either.

Yeah, I liked his game too, I was paying particular attention to him, hence the reason I noticed his early exit from the game....Con Gorozidis wrote:not sure? but i liked the look of him. everyone knows being the 3rd forward is a very hard position to play (not many chances, players tend to go through other avenues, keeping out of the other guys way etc etc) and he had a decent opponent - but he looks the goods. nice balanced player. and i can see what people mean when they compare him to stevie j. a long way to go - but stevie j wasnt that great at 19 either.

Gurt according to Bruce and Dennis!SainterK wrote:Question please, is Heyne pronounced with a hay or a hi?
Likewise for Gaertner, is it a a Gart or a Gurt? (Gurt would be less confusing, as the other sounds an awful lot like Gardiner)
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"
good questions, i've been wondering. the commentators said HIE-n and GURT-ner, but i would say the opposite. what's the official line?SainterK wrote:Question please, is Heyne pronounced with a hay or a hi?

Are you sure that it was a hamstring and not a guitarstring finger injury.Dr Spaceman wrote:saintlee wrote:Geez....he was limping pretty heavily for a dislocated finger.....BelfastSaint wrote:I believe he had a dislocated finger ....
Might be one of those hamstring related finger injuries

If it is of German origin the AE is the same as an A with an umlaut (double dot accent above A) so that would make it G AIR T NER.bergholt wrote:good questions, i've been wondering. the commentators said HIE-n and GURT-ner, but i would say the opposite. what's the official line?SainterK wrote:Question please, is Heyne pronounced with a hay or a hi?
