The footy cannot start quick enough for me
This is the kind of moronic jokes and people I have to deal with at work.

You have 3 options:
1- What do Carlton and Madoff have in common? They both got caught.
2- Type up a list of final scores for the last 11 or 12 times we've played them. Frame it, and put it on your desk.
3- Get a big white (A3) card and in big black numbers, draw the number 11 or 12 to symbolise how many times we've beaten them in a row.
That should shut them up.

A carlton supporter has absolutely no place making a joke like that right now. Not after the last decade.
That is the kind of joke I put up with in the 1980's when we were shyte.
I would absolutely destroy that **** without hesitation.
Absolutely destroy him.

They live in the era when corporate brown nosing and unbridled loophole exploitation decided premierships. As much as toerags like Buckley and Johnston might like bumpin' bellies and sharing lines at ol' home weeks at PP, none of the flags won in those days rate with those of the last dozen odd years, when good governance, competition balancing and sports management had more to do with success than the days of payoffs and behind the scenes thuggery.
Let me put that another way - Chris "Gouger" Judd won't see a flag at Bluetown - in his time, or in the time of his and "Twiggers" sprogs. Why? 'Cos they still don't get it. Why else did they install Pratt for a period before he died? And, straight after the Amcor/ACCC business? Because arrogance takes so long to die in an institutionalised form.

Spew colour booooloose
Playing and beatin the carlton spews is always one of the fixtures i look most forward to. The 2 teams i really don't like are the cats (since the gt days) and the spews from longer back. A win over the drab looking blackshirts or blue shirts - whatever is always a significant psychological boost for the Saints. Rossi may see it (sorry them) as just another team but our recent winning consistency has coincided with the Saints being close to the big one.
Let them yap but maintain the rage Sainters when we next meet the spews ok blues.
GO SAINTS!

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Go Saints. I can't wait for this season.
We won 20 out of 22 and dropped the chance at the last hurdle.
Off season wasn't the best for every thread on here has already stated over and over again.
Everyone is looking for something or anything to see a chink in the armor.
Proud of the boys last year. It was the best year we have had for quite some time and I expect that there hunger will not falter.
I Cannot Wait.

That was my moment of 2009. And Raph Clarke's handball to get it to him. Roo ran right in front of us after he kicked that goal. But I'm like you, joy turned to tragedySaint Bev wrote:Watched my first bit of footy since the GF last night, didn't enjoy it at all and it was Roos magnificant goal v Collingwood.
