Well in my case it appears the majority like threads being locked.... so... I accept that.

That's actually my biggest pet hate. Don't lock threads in the General Forum.

Posts in the main forum should only be locked if they go off topic.

And by off topic, I would include abusive arguments.

Then minutes later after some 'support' arrives in the form of another poster (oddly I think it may have even been a Mod!), two more aggressive and patronising posts in succession pop up from Joffaboy.

When there was no support around, he was very meek and frankly Ok to have a discussion with. When he was alone he was very different. As soon as 'backup' arrived however, he changed dramatically as a poster and became aggressive, patronising and antagonistic.

in this instance,

I SUPPORT THE CLUB, COACH and CAPTAIN.

I'm not sure how a thread on declaring my support for the Club, Coach and Captain got hijacked into a pyssing contest about whether rodgerfox is a troll or not?

And quite frankly I couln't care less if he is/isn't.

What he/she absolutely is though, is a master at taking positive threads about the Club and/or Coach and/or Captain and turning them into blazing flame wars which ultimately result in those threads being locked.

End result is that positive threads are closed down, which may well be what he/she desired in the first place?

And if that's the case, that's called manipulation and/or bullying to get your desired result.

We have an Intra-CLub game tomorrow...if the name calling and personal stuff continues when we have plenty of footy to discuss this time tomorrow..it WILL be locked and there will be some warnings handed out..
