WoM AFL Tipping Competition 2010

The WoM AFL Tipping Competition 2010 has just been launched, on that great Saints supporters website: WestofMoorabbin.com.

In 2009 we had 60 tipsters, with first prize winnings being $1,200, and 25 tipsters in all received a payout. If we grow to 100 tipsters this year, first prize will be $2,000.

We hope that Saintsational regulars will join us in making this the "premier" AFL supporters tipping comp for 2010.

Moderators: Can you please make this post a "sticky" for season 2010...that would be much appreciated.

re the 8 out 8 prize

The 8 out of 8 is a weekly competition that plays for 20% of the total prize pool.

If we have 100 tipsters each paying $50.00 the total prize pool is $5,000, therefore the various divisions will be worth as follows:

1st - $2,000
2nd - $1,000
3rd - $500
4th - $250
5th - $250

8 out of 8 - $1,000 divided by 22 rounds = $45.45 - if no-one selects all 8 winning teams the money jackpots to the next round, or the next round again, until such time as someone selects 8 from 8.

In 2009 there were several times when the jackpot went to 4 rounds.

I would love to say to you all' dont waste your money' but if i say that, you wont join.

So i will say ' surely i cant finish 2nd twice in a row and 1st the next time'

Last year my tipping was derailed due to an extended stay in Bali cos of motorbike accident....missed my tips for 3 weeks & never recovered, the body did, the tips didn't.....better luck this season I hope.

Did i miss something? I dont know anything that costs that much for so little time. The only think i can think of is a nice big steak, but it takes more than that to eat...
