We all know that plugger66 likes to be sarcastic, but I wouldn't call it baiting. If you don't like someone's posts, just ignore them, don't take it personally. It is just a footy forum after all.

Look mate it is a forum and yes at times I take it seriously (more so if I have a point to prove) and not just post for the sake of it...Bernard Shakey wrote:St Fid I think you should lighten up a bit and not take everything so seriously.St Fidelius wrote:Yep another thread misdirected by P66...

P66 has posted for the sake of it because he has stated
Why bother then?? unless it is to bait???To be honest i couldnt give a stuff. Dont go for the memorabilia at all.
All I stated is that I purchased a few signed jumpers from Victorian Clubs....
And all of them use a light pen to sign the darker side of the gear....
Gee....
All I am asking is that the Club look into this, and have each colour of our jumper signed and not just two colours...
Is that a fair enough post, without having a poster baiting me on my previous purchases and yearly contributions to our Club

Back on the topic, love the photo's guys. THey look great.
I have a 2 year old, and managed to pick last year a size 4 long sleeve white jumper fully signed. It was signed by most players , but is the white one we wore the year before. It came with a list from the club of all the players that had signed it. It had been donated to a school auction in the Frankston area which family of mine attend. Maybe part of the club's push into that area. Anyway, not many people were interested being such a small size, and we got it for $80 which is about the full price of the jumper so were delighted. At the time we were still unbeaten - at about 17 or 18 games. We are intending on framing it using an old black frame with red matt from an framed photo picked up by my dad in the Blight days which we no longer use. I think it will look great for my son's room, but just haven't got around to doing it yet, so the photos in this thread have been a great inspiration.
I have a photo of it unframed I was going to post, but cant work out how to attach a photo to my post.

unfortunately saintsational does not provide that and you need to have a host site that can provide a link your picture...
you need to log on to a server that provides that service something like photobuket or you can email me with the picture as an attachment and I will do it....
PM me with your details and In will try, otherwise go on to photobuctk and follow bouncing ball...

Thanks for that. I've just been looking on the site and I think I know how to do it now. Will try tomorrow as my partner is downloading a big file on this laptop at the moment and I don't want to risk interfering with it. I do have a photobucket account. My avatar pic is hosted there, so I will try again tomorrow. Thanks again.St Fidelius wrote:you need to have a site that hosts ....saintnick12 wrote:Back on the topic, love the photo's guys. Just why bother posting if you have no interest in the topic and only post to bait another poster???
I don't post much of late and my son rarely does of late for a couple of reasons..
He does not like conflict and hates it...
Some may know my sons condition and this post is not a reminder of that, but I thought I will let you know that he always reads this site and just loves the Saints..
Jnr is not that well and for the last 9 months has experienced difficulties with breathing and has a constant coughing ....
I really dont know how anyone can manage having a cough every 30 seconds that last for 9 months, and my son has really had enough..
He has been to the hospital and specialists and it is still ongoing...
Please let these posts be in prospective of the big picture ....
Yes, he loves his framed jumpers, and cant believe some of the bye comments...

Also I don't know why the Club persists with the signing of just the two panels of our three panel jumper...
Some of this jumpers where auctioned for around $1,500 towards the end of the season, and to me the signing of just two panels compared to the three that we have is WRONG...
The one I have is not from the Club, but the Club still insists on just signing just the two panels of our three...
WHY???
Surely if a team is going to sign a jumper it should be on ALL three panels of our guernsey....
Anyway, that's what I think and there are special "paint" pens to accommodate the black panel....
the pen is a paint and not ink and it stands out just great...
I would like to see the Club produce one that has ALL our panels represented and not just the two...
But, hey that's just my opinion
[/img]
I agree.
Especially when signing two panels, the jumper becomes messy looking.

To date there is not much we can do, but wait until he sees this Professor in 3 weeks....
I really don't care if you like my sons signed and framed jumper, I only offered a thought that the Club should endorse ALL colours, instead of just the two that they have done in previous seasons....
It was never to be a bitch session, just a thought that the Club should endorse all our colours......

Some of our collection.
The Winmar jumper is an All-Stars teams jumper from 2007 (signed by most of the team (but not Winmar )). The Stevie Baker is worn as only STevie can and ripped around the neckline. The Cards are the 86 Supporters series and signed by most of the team including Barker and Lockett, Joffa and Sidey. The training T-shirt is actually out of Trevor Barkers wardrobe and is signed by the 2000 team. The clash jumpers are Adam Schneiders and Jack Steven's jumpers.
The memories are priceless. Even getting the polo signed standing in the rain after training.

Yeah - I know - when I eventually get around to removing the embroidering that the club put over the Linen House emblem I will get it framed as well.Sunday Red wrote:The ripped Baker jumper is a gem!

Sarcasm & humour can often be confused in the written word.
I would suggest that sarcasm and humour are one and the same on a forum like this.
Australian humour is all about taking the piss.
ps: I just found emoticon on the net. It originated in the 1990s and is a combination of emotion and icon. I still don't understand. Don't people understand english?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoticon
"An emoticon is a textual expression representing the face of a writer's mood or facial expression. Emoticons are often used to alert a responder to the tenor or temper of a statement, and can change and improve interpretation of plain text. The word is a portmanteau of the English words emotion (or emote) and icon. In web forums, instant messengers and online games, text emoticons are often automatically replaced with small corresponding images, which came to be called emoticons as well.
The use of emoticons can be traced back to the nineteenth century and were commonly used in casual/humorous writing"

lol - Sainter_Boy also has quite a few - He has the full set of Team Coach Saints cards since 2006 (including all of the prize cards). We have only framed the 2006 - but the rest are waiting to be framed with his membership cards.matrix wrote:yeah the cards are pretty impressivemarkinUSA wrote:Sainter Dad, if it's not too much to ask... could you adopt me? In a lot of cases its right time - right place stuff - Dad works for the RACV and he met Melissa (Trevors partner) she gave him the T shirt. The Winmar jumper was a pure fluke - a friend tried to sell it - but couldn't get the right price so we did a trade.
I also have a fair bit of non Saints stuff (Bobby Skilton signed Big V, Alan Ruthven signed Fitzroy jumper). As well as non footy stuff!
But I am not telling you where I live - Muuaahhhh Hhhhaaaaa!
