Roo's Fitness
Went for a run the other day when I'd finished at the gym, and stumbled across the Saints boys doing time trials.
Looked pretty fit as a group - but I couldn't help but notice that Roo wasn't partaking.
Was getting some massage done.
Concern?

The last thing we need is our pseudo Capt-Coach injured.rodgerfox wrote:Went for a run the other day when I'd finished at the gym, and stumbled across the Saints boys doing time trials.

I'm worried that our luck has run out.
See, I can have fun too.

Well, FWIW I know people who are reasonably close to Roo and he certainly isn't 100% but he reckons he's OK at this stage to start the season.
So it's understandable that he isn't participating in full-on training, but nothing to be bothered about: same situation as heaps of other AFL player have been/are in during the off-season.

Don't be concerned RF, he started off slowly in 2009 yet managed to make AA captain. He will be fine, he will probably give himself no other option.rodgerfox wrote:Those who mock the importance of a full pre-season are either...
Ignorant.
In denial.
Wearing very expensive rose-coloured glasses.
Or all of the above.

Let's just say Tassie contacts. Nick still seems to be a Tassie boy at heart: he seems to pop up here quite frequently during the off-season.stinger wrote:...tassie family members mb...?meher baba wrote:Well, FWIW I know people who are reasonably close to Roo and he certainly isn't 100% but he reckons he's OK at this stage to start the season.

From what I saw, it seemed that he hadn't done anything at all.matrix wrote:well he is our franchise player...
and knowing roo he'd prob already done two time trial runs before you even got out of bed in the morning rodge.
concerned?
not in the slightest
That is my point. Hence me asking the question as to whether or not this of concern.
