In fairness, they do look to be stronger than last year, especially in the ruck with Jolly.......they should be a top 4 team again....however, I still think they are a bit off top 2
there isn't a great deal of difference between them and those other cretins , Carltank , who can forget "they know we are coming " ?
Not smart.

Unforgiven wrote:I think it's fair enough to be honest. They have quite a young team. Ball and Jolly will significantly improve them, I expect Ball to have quite a good season with more game time and the hunger to proove himself.

With an improved midfield, the defence can be a lot better as they are helped out and under less pressure.

Thier biggest worry is they rely on Presti a fair bit, and they don't have great quality talls up forward.
I agree, the two new inclusions will help them enormously.
I think Jolly will free up Fraser to go forward, and he is very handy for a tall around goals. The onball lineup is a quality unit, and they kick goals.
THis time of year everyone likes their chances of improvement, if you didnt, why bother turning up for rnd1

" I expect Ball to have quite a good season with more game time and the hunger to proove himself. "

Is his body capable of more game time ?

Also he still cant kick over a jam tin !

Do you really think he was prevented from more game time by the Saints ?

Perhaps the collingwood coach will devise a better role for him than Ross was able to . He is great in and under but needs support to get the ball away.

I wish him well but doubt that we didnt let him go for good reason.

Why not just wait until a ball has actually been kicked in earnest before making the big noises Mr. Schmaltzhouse

A bit of dissention among the fans at the AGM the other night I read too

Questions from the floor got heated, with fans not happy with Alisa Camplins board appointment or the money theyve lost in pubs

Eddie was duly dissapointed in the outbursts saying that....wait for it..."Respect was not given to the position that is the President of the Collingwood Football Club"

I didnt make that up either

Why has this not been moved to the Opposition Forum? Nothing to do with Saints.

If I'd known she was going to join the Pies board I would never have had her over for a barbecue.

They haven't solved their main problem, no key forwards or defenders.
Come finals times, no one can kick enough goals for them.

Why has this not been moved to the Opposition Forum? Nothing to do with Saints.
Two reasons:

(1) It's a very, very slow and boring part of the off season - bugger all else to talk about - keep it to just Saints stuff and there could be cobwebs on the main forum!

(2) Luke Gelding is an ex-Saint, so there you go - that's something Saints related!

To be fair everybody thinks they are a top 2 chance at this time of year.

A side that has played in two prelims and added two top quality players, should well and truly believe they are a chance at top 2.

I don't think they are, but they would have to think so.
