What's the history of number 6? I remember that red-headed bloke who used to be Tim Watson's team mate disappointing in it, and Fish tried hard but hasn't kicked on as expected. When was the last time a gun wore number 6?

should I mention an ex freo shocker?
Yes that's who I meant. The Freo Shocker played at Essendon with Watson before. Tony Delany was his name. He played 15 games for Essendon in 1993-94, 25 games for Freo 95-99 and 33 games for us 2000-01, although I don't think he was that bad was he? I seem to remember his career had been cruelled by injuries somewhat. Poor bloke played 78 games and only won 21 times (27%). In fact in eight seasons he only played in one where he enjoyed more wins than losses (Freo in 1997 who finished 12th but won 5 of 8 when Delany played). He only won 4 games out of 33 with the Saints (12% - Ouch!), but he achieved something I never could - 78 AFL games and got to sing the Saints song playing along side Robert Harvey!

I dont know if Armo would want to swap 20 for 14. 20 is a good number. One of my all time favourites, Jimmy Ross, wore 20.

I know you're pretty much tongue firmly in cheek most of the time (and I'm not talking about your personal life), but quit with harassing SainterK and Solar. They're decent mate.
If you fully read the thread you will understand I actually didnt start any harassing.
Not this time 8-)

There is still no news on Twitter. What time do they start work at the club? Not early enough.

And probably our best player to wear 14 was Plugger. He won his Brownlow in that number.

THRILLED that Clint is being rewarded with a higher number. Real reward for hard work! Geez, that's great.

I personally don't think jumper numbers matter much, but its good recognition for the youngsters I guess....especially CJ, who had a fantastic year in 09! He deserves the recognition for his efforts....

The club has shown great respect for Maxy and Harves by not allocating their numbers yet.

Well done.

Tommy Walsh - the new Gordon Fode :D

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Interesting that Walsh got Allen's no. 36. Have they reserved this for a key forward? What's the story?

I know people on here rate him but the club must really rate Steven too.
It is a fair compliment to be given the number three seeing as unlike CJ he is yet to cement his position at the club.
