He was injured in '08 and while some think he had potential, we are paying him two years of contract on the strength of the potential tag. But if memory serves me correctly Leigh Fisher was burning them up on the track in '09 preseason time trials.
Jarryd Allen was in our starting 18 when we played the Pies in the '08 final. They obviously thought he could play.

He may have already signed a contract before he was injured.

True... but prior to those five minutes in the pies game he had played three matches for a total of 23 touches.

It's all explained here.

ST KILDA
John Peake, recruiter

Draft summary
"We thought we covered a few things in the national draft. A running back, a taller back and of course a senior ruckman as well as Jesse Smith who is also a running back. With losing Luke Ball we had to find an inside mid and that was young Mark Hutchings.â€

from memory this was correct, in fact the club was investigating processes to mae sure allen got his money but it did not effect the salary cap.

Once again, it works because the draft is so thin this year. I can't help but look at the quality of he 2008 rookies compared to what we have got in 2009.

So did leigh turn up for training today?
Yes he did. Sorry about the wrong information.
ha!
And that means what? I have already said i was wrong. ha sounds like what a 6 year old would say.
