I notice that Freo has invited Alex Silvagni (Casey) to train, there were calls from posters a couple of years back that he should at least be looked at for the Saints when the Club was aligned with the Scorpions.
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

Good to see Moran mentioned ...
There are a couple of interesting names from other clubs...
Richmond - Josh Free (North Ballarat)
Port - Derick Wanganeen (Port Magpies)
Collingwood - Kristopher Pendlebury (Collingwood, VFL)

The club had to pre select David Moran, Josh Duncan and Ted Widmer by 2PM Tuesday if they wanted to rookie any of them.
They had until 2PM today Wednesday to submit their list Lodgement No3.
There has been no announcements so I think it would be safe to say none of the above will be rookied by St Kilda - at least not this year.
Unlike Port Adelaide it would also seem the club did not clear any space for a pre-season draft pick.
The permission to train list retains David Moran.
He is probably listed because he was on it 2 weeks ago but it means he can still train with the hope that St Kilda will pick him up next year.

The pre-season draft looks like it is going to be
1. Melbourne = Joel MacDonald
2. Richmond = To Be Decided
3. Fremantle = Adam Mc Phee
4. Sydney= Daniel Bradshaw.
5. West Coast = To Be Decided
6. Port Adelaide = Most probably Cameron Cloke
7. Essendon = To Be Decided
Subject to teams total player payment estimates indicating that the clubs can afford another senior player within thier salary caps.

Josh Duncan certainly nominated for the National Draft and can now be rookied by anyone that wants him.

St Kilda's first 2 rookie picks will be at 20 and 36
But the 3rd round pick is advanced 3 places to 49 due to Melbourne, Fremantle and North Melbourne's retention of more rookies.
It becomes the 48th free pick due to Hawthorn's scholarship upgrade.
The 4th round picks is then advanced an additional 5 places to 60 due to Hawthorn and Collingwood's retention of more rookies.
It becomes the 58th free pick due to Adelaide's scholarship upgrade.
Tommy Walsh will then be called at pick 69.
He will replace the 63rd free pick in the rookie draft.
Melbourne, Fremantle, Sydney and maybe Port Adelaide seem committed to recycled player in the Pre Season Draft.
This means there could be 3 or 4 free picks ahead of the Rookie Draft.
