Nick Riewoldt....no question
He is the best player I have ever seen.

I know its 1 word replies and all but....
I was thinking bout this recently and as much as I admire Riewoldts leadership and I reckon hes grown into the role beautifullyand hes the best player.....he kinda still feels hard to "get to know" from a fan perspective.......he's still to me aloof....
When I think of going into battle it has to be Hayes.....and his very laid back demeanour off field kinda makes you think at a BBQ you could easily sit down with him and a few cans and have a good chat (with Kosi youd probably just have the cans and say little....Lovett.....NO cans...)

I think I have a new favourite - Brendon Goddard. I think it was the photo of him in the membership brochure that sent me over the edge.
I really love this bloke. I love the passion he shows for club. I love the way he gets shitty with anything less than 100% - from himself or his team mates. I love his intensity. I love his skills.
I think I've said enough...

It may be, but i am sure they have a favourite yet they dont want to tell you. Generally if they say to you ' you are all my favourite' then you probably arent it.
If they tell you you are their favourite then you probably are

These would be my three also...love all three.Armoooo wrote:Can't split Goddard/ Riewoldt/ Hayes
But as my profile name and pic suggest...my fav is Nick Riewoldt. Agree with others that he may not be as easy to relate to in the personal sense as some of the others, but he is just such an awesome player and now leader. I watch him with awe week after week. The things he does are inspiring. Whatever they are paying him he is worth every penny and it still would not reflect his importance to the club. He has also become a lot more comfortable off the field and represents the club well in all his interviews etc. Should definately be a premiership captn of the saints one day soon.
PS Good thread Batnoe. Its interesting to see people's opinions on this.

That's why I haven't responded til now. I guess if I had a gun to my head for a answer I'd say LENNY, but I feel so disloyal to all the others I love......
Shattered dreams are just opportunities for improvement. Live and learn, fail and try harder. 2011 beckons.
