Someone mentioned it earlier, while it is not the avatars as such that are offensive, it is the attitudes towards women that it can promote.

I am not suggesting anyone on this forum treats women badly, however, with some of the currrent/past news regarding players (from all codes) and their conduct towards women perhaps the way women (like the ones in the avatrs) are spoken about fosters the very attitudes we are all trying to stamp out.

There are certain people in society who unfortunately do not know what is and isn't appropriate behaviour towards women and it is these tools that are the ones that would objectify and show disrepect towards women. These people are the ones who think it is ok to hit, touch, rape etc a women.

Personally I don't have an issue with any of the guys or girls avatars on here. I am not offended at all by them. My only concern would be the attitudes towards women that they could foster.

As a woman, what I do get offended by is the way some men act towards me when it comes to sport. Apparently because I do have breasts, I actaully know nothing about footy/cricket etc and only watch it for the hot ass. Many a time I have been dismissed or completely ignored when offering my opinion on a sporting issue. Funnily enough, 90% of the time I actually know more than them.......

Yes its a football forum, but I don't see a problem with having a cute girl as your picture..

I don't have a problem with a 'cute girl' as an avatar however I do have a problem with women being portrayed as sexual objects. I know they are out there in society but there is a time and a place for them and in a public forum where anyone of any age can access it I do not think this it is appropriate.

Yes I know there are meter maids and cheerleaders ( both of which I feel the same way) but there are very few of these young women who become involved in this type of industry that actually think through what they are doing it is the glamour and fame they are looking for.

I know as a group of people we will never agree on this topic but it is good to see healthy debate on this.

The only avatar on Saintsational I have an issue with is dals_da_bomb's Twilight avatar which is a shocking movie about a fairy and his emo mates. ( only joshing DDB)

Does anyone have an issue with my avatar? Its from a Japaneese movie from 2000 called Battle Royale and there is girls in it that are what you would call "scantily clad" I know its not on the avatar itself but the fact that the movie has violence and kinda sorta girls werting kinda reveling clothes but not really.

I know the world is falling into a moral sewer with these "bikini girls" pictures on a footy website but I thaught id ask if mine was offensive, I can change it to a pic of barney if anyone wants

i would consider a picture of a lady with no top on, showing her breasts a lil inapproprite. But if she is in bathers, or a bra or something to conceal at least i dont know 60% of breast and only showing 'side boob' no big problem. MO.
