Anyway it is easily fixed. you turn the TV off and listen to the radio. Then you should be happy as you will hear people speak all the time.
So by that theory the Brownlow telecast should, instead of showing ROunds 8-15, have Shane Woewodin, Barry Round and Peter Moore blathering away about their past glories while the count just carries on behind them? A nice 5 min piece with Adam Cooneys new wife perhaps?
I wonder if Fox maybe thought that the parents watching might like to SEE their kids names read out, rather than have to suddenly dive for a radio cos Tom Scully and his mum are more important than them
Spot on Michael...Are you for real Plugger or just taking the piss for a reaction???
If you are serious then I am am genuinely sorry for you...if you are taking the piss...the gag is getting very boring and get a life!!
Sorry for me because I dont want to see a name being read out after talking to themselves for 2 minutes. You really are an ordinary person with little knowledge of life. However unlike you I dont feel sorry for you.
Its about kids & Draft pick numbers. The 1st 1/2 hour was great with the Top 10. All they needed to do was give abbrieviated clips from then on, not interviews with managers & mothers.
For mine, the area that they really let themselves down was where they "missed" the selections of Luke Ball, Hooper, Jesse Smith, Goose & Long whilst they were stroking their egos.......
But all is good.......plugger66 enjoyed it !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
I thought in previous years they had someone with a clue about the kids giving a brief snapshot or at least something interesting to say about each kid.
For my mind it's about the draft, the kids getting their names called and the club's reactions.
If I want to hear about how people feel I'll watch Hallmark, Bio or Lifestyle
Poor effort Fox only Matthew Campbell could have made it worse!!!

Thanks for hoping I stay well. You seem like a really tough guy. I maybe scared of you. How will I know what you look like if we meet. Will you be the 5 foot nothing guy who weighs 9 stone and are wearing pink pants with a nice cream shirt.

So seeing the face of a recruiter saying a name is good TV. I would rather hear how a family feel about their son being a number one pick.
Id actually argue that Fox, as a specialist sports station, had a responsibility to show THE DRAFT, not a bunch of interviews dyuring the draft I guess the AFL had to make some compromises to the presentataion to get Fox to show it, but surely it was enough to allow that stupid 10-1 countdown?
Youve painted yourself as 'bored viewer from Oakleigh" who'd doze off without some puff piece interviews that we will read in tomorrows papers anyway, but just for a sec put yourself in the shoes of a potential draftee's family. There you are, possibly a big group of you in front of the telly, your sons life about to change forever (and possibly on the other side of the country if the wrong club picks him) and suddenly Tom Scully's mum is more important??

Think that comes under the banner of wishful thinking and a not so accurate description ...oh and I remember by your own words you are scary looking ...
Pity I don't scare that easily

I reckon you'd kick the telly in, I know I would
I have actually watched the draft with a potential recruit who was drafted back then and again tonight. He maybe a perfect person to ask if he was frustrated compared to last time. Having said that last time was iff the internet. By the way I wouldnt be bored whatever way they do it. All I am saying is that listening to family members of drafted players is interesting as none of us may get the chance to feel their emotions.

Nah fair point, but if you want emotion I reckon Mrs Scully (is her name Dana???;-)) had those answers ready back in August
Get on the phone to a Vic mum who was resigned to having her son go to Perth, only to get snapped up 2 picks earlier by Hawthorn to he gets to stay in Melb (its hypothetical by the way I dunno if there was one)..or a kid whos just been drafted by the team he's idolised all his life?
But...maybe have a 10min break after Pick 30 or 40 and do it then?
Looks like the emotional days of Mrs "GO CARLTON!!" Goddard are past

Yep, it was crap to watch on FOX and you got better information from the
AFL live web site on the draft...
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!
Shocking coverage. Whats the point in putting it on live if you are going to talk all the way through it so no one has any idea whats going on, pathetic.
