The Extra Ruckman. A good move going forward post King/Gardi

Post: # 861744Post Top4King »

Adam Pattison, Ben McEvoy and eventually Rhys Stanley.
We're looking at a smooth rucking transition over the next three/four years.

Or maybe it means Stanley or McEvoy are earmarked for a forward position.

It was the only area we needed to develop C. 2010
Our kids are killers. Our mids are murderous. Our forwards just need to improve individually.

Though Pattison is only 197cm...so what is his leap and mobility like?

Pattison may not amount to much but you have to sympathise with the dude......

He was coached by Terry Wallace.....

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Pattison couldn't get a kick in a kung fu fight. Richmond didn't want him. Why, Why, Why did we select him.
Would have thought our ruck stocks were OK. another speed demon would have been the order of the day surely !

Post King/Gardi??

After the finals, I'd be thinking we might be in the 'post King/Gardi' phase now.

Seems a bit like Zac Dawson from last year. At the time we had Blake, Fisher, Hudghton coming off a career best season & Maguire returning. He hadn't played in 2 years and he was remembered as the guy who rocca kicked 8 on.

I don't think Pavlich will get de-listed from Fremantle though!

It does seem like a strange pick but il give the recruiters the benefit of the doubt.. Hope he takes his chance.

Why?

How did all the Lyon recruits go in the GF last year?

Gee, surely faith in recruitment would be at an all-time low after last year's GF?

I don't read all my posts.

Was there something somewhere I was meant to respond to?

So we base our assessments on players from one game now?
I guess Stevie J is a hack then who is carried by a great team.

A Norm Smith medallist? No, I don't think he's a hack.

It's just the same argument again, so why not keep it in the one thread and save the trouble?

That was 2 years ago. He had 3 effective disposals and 4 frees in the grand final so by your reasoning he must be a hack.

I'm not sure I have anything to add to that discussion. The reason I stopped discussing it in the original thread is because we weren't going anywhere.

Recruitment is a different discussion altogether. One which was raised in this thread.

Actually you talked about recruitment in that thread, liar.
