Matthew Panos or Dylan Grimes still available - would be very happy to snap either up at 60.

Yes I must admit it is exciting watching a club take 2 minutes to make a pick than finding out what it is like for parents when their son hits the big time.saintbrat wrote:Pies missed out on Troy Taylor who they convinced to NOt go to Gold Coast.

What annoys me is all the media reports will say - see he was only worth pick 30 etc, etc. But its not true. He blocked them all out. Between the salary and refusing to talk to them. many were very interested. I still stand by the original decision the club made...they can't be forced into inequitable trades. Hopefully this will make the rest of our top players realise this too, and other clubs when we are trading with them in the future. As many have said, the reality is that he may have struggled to hold his place in the team as the year progressed, or we may have lost armitage as a result of keeping him. would love to have kept him, but if you don't want to be here, then go.ace wrote:Simple case of draft tampering pays off as expected.plugger66 wrote:Wouldnt think so. No doubt Melb would have taken him at 18 if he wanted to go...
Who to put on my two year old's number 14 jumper now????

Number 14 will be put to good use in 2010...it'll be put on a young player's back who actually wants to play for the club. It won't be rested for a second.saintnick12 wrote:What annoys me is all the media reports will say - see he was only worth pick 30 etc, etc. But its not true. He blocked them all out. Super pick up, Saints! Very happy with that one. Still some talent left, too.

Thought Pattison was a rookie chance, perhaps not in the draft. But there you go. Hmm...
