Replays on 7TWO

Post: # 860306Post wynner »

For those with Normal Free to Air Digital STB - Look out for the following times (set up your recorder)

Monday Night/Tue Morning 1:30am 1999 R12 Hawthorn vs St.kilda
Friday Night/Sat Morning 3:30am 1992 Second Elimination Final Coll v St.Kilda

Might tape the second one - don't know if I could stand the first one....

Is the first one the game where we are ahead by about 10 goals at half time and then go on to lose the game? I think i was 7 at the time and cried after that game.

I think it is. For some reason I remember it being played on a Monday afternoon though, and Everitt kicked a goal after the siren?

Maybe someone can verify that.

Did Everitt kick a goal after the siren?

Looks like I was wrong about the Monday part of it...

Terrible, terrible game.

Was going to the movies that day (think to see South Park  ) and went into the movie at 1/4 time.

Came out of the movie to be told by my parents they we had been beaten... At first I told them to stop being stupid, good joke... Then I heard the report.

That game was a horror. I remember being at the gym listening to the capitulation. Couldn't lift a weight. Couldn't ride a bike. Just sat there for half an hour stunned then rode home shattered.

A very dark afternoon.

Yes, unfortunately I remember that game all too well.

I was there and sitting with a couple of Hawks friends. We were sprouting how good we were and how we were going to smash them and made a few bets with them....

Needless to say by the end of the game, I owed them alot of money and beer and was very red faced

I'll be recording this one... I can't forget Tony Shaw trying to get into Spud's face...and Danny just brushing him away as if he were some annoying little fly.

My overriding memory of that Hawks game was lying in bed sick listening to Dermie on MMM fully coach his ex-side in the last quarter rather than provide any impartial special comments

They should be required to replay only Saints victories or "digitally enhanced" loses with the reverse result. Otherwise, forget it.

The 1999 game was my low point at AFL (VFL) Park. I guess it was Timmy's as well.

Yep, was at that Hawthorn game that day too.

My fourteen year old had just turned 4 at the time. He cried after the game.

The second half was like watching a train wreck in progress. Knew what was going to happen and it did. Still can't believe it...lol....

Stewie kicked a goal at the start of the second qtr to put us about 10 goals up.

From there it all fell apart.

Wasn't it the famous afternoon when Butttterrrssss invited Thomas to watch the game with him and discuss his long term vision.

Just found out, GO! and 7TWO is now available on Foxtel, so I'll be setting my IQ for the 1992 semi final.
