List Lodgement No 2
List Lodgement No 2 was due 2PM Friday 13 November 2009
This is how it looks.
It was the last chance for clubs to delist players ahead of the National Draft.
So it was the last chance to clear senior list spaces for National Draft picks.
Each club must have at least three spaces OR two spaces and have permanently promoted at least one rookie.
St Kilda only needed two spaces having permanently promoted both Dawson and Miles.
Red are my edits.
Pick numbers may change if other clubs have failed to delist sufficient players to activate their picks.
Italics yet to be confirmed.
Josh Duncan and Ted Widner can still be pre-selected as rookies and added at List Lodgement No 3, but it is not looking likely.
I have adjusted St Kilda's National Draft pick numbers to suit disallowed picks of all clubs, but not the rookie picks yet.
The AFL Official order includes rookie upgrades to senior players.
These "picks" are already locked in.
AFL pick 77 has 3 picks already destined for rookie upgrades before it, so it is actually the 74th active pick.

Now that Luke Ball has gone, I think we should attempt to target Joel MacDonald. We are now probably going to take 3 players in the national draft with no one in the pre season.
2 young kids plus someone with a bit of experience, MacDonald played a running half back role with the lions and if everyone hates Raph then maybe Joel can play this role.
Small Forward: Rahn Hooper, has been up and down with off field issues and so probably won't be considered but he is young and plays a very clever small forward role that milne plays and milne is close to the end of his career and we may have to groom a replacement.

They would not cost anything against the salary cap as rookies but they may be cosidered a waste of money and effort.borderbarry wrote:On the subject of the two NSW Scholarship boys, Duncan and Widner,I read somewhere that the Saints were not going to take them up as rookies. Has anyone else heard anything along these lines?
The club has until 1 December, the day before List Lodgement No3 is due to pre select them as rookies.
But if the club has NOT already agreed to rookie them, they would have wanted to nominate for the National Draft last Tuesday.

like him or not, they're clearly giving him every opportunity to succeed... i wonder what they see in him and what role they have in mind
Just when was his contract renewed?
I remember 1 game I some him play with the seniors (it was a home game) , and he did not have a clue, and ran with the ball carrying it behind his flowing neck and was penalised with holding the ball...
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!
No arguement from me. Obviously an error to give him another contract especially since he was delisted about 8 weeks later.St Fidelius wrote:Well can you please tell me this..plugger66 wrote:Pretty sure it is called a contract.skeptic wrote:Brad Howards retention is interesting, thought he was a monty for the can

How do you get a white background.
It must make reading the white text a little hard.

Red it is.
It should look good in a quote box using Saintsational 1 - white and red text on a black background.
Those colours always look good together.
