did I also hear that the Bombers have had their Friday night Home game against the Saints moved to the G- and also have to play us twice?
Good if true NO Fully reserved Bombers game
this comment makes me wonder ;
The club, which is expected to record a profit of more than $2 million this year, told the AFL that next year's draw would remove $1 million from its 2010 bottom line.
ESSENDON is bracing for the draw from hell. Although the Bombers have been dealt a fixture to please the bean counters, it is enough to give the football staff sleepless nights.
It is understood Essendon will play five of this year's top eight teams twice next year, but the pain does not end there.
Included in the list of seven teams the Bombers play twice is believed to be last year's top four -- Geelong, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs and Collingwood

That wonderfully accurate radio station, 3AW (Always Wrong) announced on their 6.00am news this morning that the 2010 fixture would be released today. They may not have read the entire release that said that The nab Cup FIXture would be released today
The main FIXture is due for release on Friday !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
Sydney will play Carlton round 1 of the NAB cup in Blacktown (western Sydney) Feb 20 Saturday night.
also there will be a NAB game in Yea Victoria
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
BRENDON Gale has achieved his first significant victory in his new role at Richmond after taking his grievances to the AFL regarding the Tigers' 2010 home-and-away fixture.
In the final version of the draw, to be released on Friday, Richmond has been handed an additional two home games at the MCG and won the right to host the season-opener against Carlton on Thursday, March 25. Gale was also successful in switching the Tigers' only Friday night game - against St Kilda - from Etihad Stadium to the MCG.

Where are all the articles on this seriously?
afl.com.au started the leaks this year with the Hall/Fevola leaks. Herald-Sun, The AGE & SEN have been leaking bits n pieces for more than a week. If you go back through this entire thread you will see the links !!

The draw will reward the elite teams with plenty of free-to-air games, but Melbourne has successfully lobbied for fewer Demons games on Foxtel. the Demons had just 10 games on Seven or Ten.

How can Melbourne -with a coach stopping just short of admitting they are and have been tanking - truly succesfully lobby the AFL for better game deals?
Success should have rewards - one of those is the draw. IF/WHEN Melbourne manager some sustained success, fair enough, right now........they sit with Richmond, Freo and "footy filler" for Sunday twighlights for mine....

as stated above though even Richmond ' succesfully" lobbied for a better deal- because they may make only $1 mill and not 2 .......
I wonder what St Kilda managed to lobby for? given we STILL end up with a MONDAY...

Postives though are that we get massive media coverage on Tues AM and Primetime FTA TV coverage. Who could forget the amount of space the papers gave to us flogging the Pies...and a similar coverage of us once again knocking over the Brownbaggers will be sweet indeed
*Note to self though: Dont start work at 5.30 the next morning like I did this year *
