Club Logos

With the launch of the new Adelaide and Brisbane logos, I have come to think just how lucky we are as supporters of our club.

Our crest is something which cannot be played with. It is entrenched in history, and will be around longer than any of us will ever know.

St Kilda (and Carlton) fans are lucky to have such unique emblems which cannot be wrecked by some overpaid photoshop whiz.

Below are the 2 new logos for 2010...

The Crows seems to be more of an 'update'... but the crow doesn't look as threatening anymore. Not too bad, amongst the better few in the league.

The Lions... well... Generic, boring, lion looks like it's about to fall asleep. Having Dermott Brereton or Chad Kroeger instead would have more impact in scaring the opposition sides. They have also stolen the last remaining link to the Fitzroy Football Club. The lion standing with pride over the ball was the way we remembered them... We see no more. As for the logo... Flop.

I have nothing but pride for our club's logo.

But, I'm also a fan of the old stick figure logo.

So, if we reverted to a that, minus the VFL logo of course, I would still be happy.

Couldnt agree more...and when these silly cartoon drawings make their way onto their playing strips..well..the farce is complete IMO

Yep, couldn't agree more - I love the Saints logo, hopefully it will never change :shock:

Totally agree regarding the Saints logo, it's a timeless classic.

However, I rather like the new Lions logo, I think it looks stylish and proud....on the other hand, I think the new Crows logo is terrible...will date really quickly IMO.....

I was watching a crow play with a dead dove the other day. Its beak was nothing like the one in the logo. More square.

lions one looks terrible. are they moving into brewing beer or something, a clause fev put into his contract. it looks like a logo for a new beer.

Our logo really is classic and it is steeped in history and tradition.

Which is more than we can say about the "modern" cartoons which are just so unbelievably cheap and cheesy.

Agreed. Our logo is a classic and neither of these come close to ours.
But in comparison to what they had before they aren't THAT bad...

brisbane's previous logo was awful! and if i was one of their supports as long as they kept the fitzroy lion on the jumpers id be quite happy

as for the crows... hated it at first. but when i put it next to their old one i hated it slightly less...
