still on Sydney's list and contracted there still ... contract runs out soon ... to go anywhere else he would have to enter the drafts ... i would assume
AwayInUSA no longer ... have based myself back in Melbourne for a decade of Saintsational Success (with regular trips back to the USA)

I understand his reasonings in going home, very valid, and I think Sydney have been very supportive of him in this decision.
If Sydney still viewed him as a required player, and he returned to Australia only to walk away from them, again....perhaps I am not fully understanding the situation, but I am not seeing a lot of loyalty in his character?
Just a thought, please correct me if I am reading it incorrectly?

I was talking about my Dog being in season. What has footy got to do with that. Is this the real Milton 66 or the other one who signs in as him.Milton66 wrote:It's the off season you silly cabbage.plugger66 wrote:How many times are you able to use that joke this season?Milton66 wrote:Let's get all 3 of Moran, Kennelly and Walsh.plugger66 wrote:I think we will get him.

Kennelly confirmed that he has an offer from his previous Aussie Rules club, Sydney Swans, on the table and must decide whether or not to accept it by the end of this month. It is understood that St Kilda, the club that Tommy Walsh is bound for, have also made an offer.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Really if Ball stays the trading period is on a par with Brisbanes effort.markp wrote:Him + Walsh + Lovett... + if we could convince Ball to stay = awesome.
Still a long way to go to get Kenelly and Ball.

Realistically
Kennelly remains a Sydney listed player as his return to Irealnd occurred after last years list lodgement No3.
He can be officially delisted by Sydney, if he turns them down OR wait and nominate for either draft.
If he goes into the National Draft he could be taken by any club.
If he doesn't want to play for that club he can refuse to sign a contract and remain in Ireland for the next 2 years.
If he goes into the pre-season draft he could be taken by most club ahead of St Kilda.
But like so many players in the past he could tamper with the draft by letting it be known (through his agent) he will only (come to Australia to) play for a particular team.
The AFL has not taken action against players who have done this in the past, but St Kilda has always been targetted by Demetriou for test cases.
Rule and interpretations only seem to change AFTER St Kilda has been disadvantaged.

If he comes back to Australia it will be for the money and his girlfriend.undecided wrote:I doubt he will come to us, if he comes back he will go back to Sydney.
If he goes back to Sydney it will out of loyalty and the prospect of a coaching position after he retires.
If he were to say he wants to play for St Kilda it would be because he has a taste for silver - premiership silverware.

Methinks it's just quicker and cheaper if we relocate he club to Ireland and just dominate the Gaelic Footy for the next millenium.samoht wrote:Why don't we replace our whole side with the best Irish talent - we will win the next 10 flags in a row and halve our salary cap at the same time.
