Seems as though he'll be heading to the pre season draft.

since when nathan000? and why would we want him much less be able to afford him. seems illogical to me that you are asking the question when the guy doesn't even fit into our list management program.

Westaway was saying he wanted another tall forward, that's why i asked the question. He isn't happy with the Lions using him as trade bate to get Fevola.

What are you on drugs it's Westaways call? omg. Westaway has nothing to do with recruitment at all.

Obviously, but if he is going to come out and publicly state we need a tall forward surely he would of had a discussion already with our recruiting staff and coaches. Maybe we can't afford Bradshaw, maybe we don't want him, i only started the thread to get some discussion going. Sorry.

The reason why Westaway isn't involved in recruiting because he doesn't know the list, and this highlights we don't need anther Tall forward now. In the future 2 or 3 years down the track then yes but not now and Bradshaw wont help us with that.

BTW is there a link for the Westaway quote?

There isn't room for both Bradshaw and Brown next year :D

I'll take Bradshaw.

Yes but even he is capable of parroting what the recruitment staff tell him they are doing.

Would be an excellent pick up for us. I would use pick 32 to get him. That should be enough.

Why?

Theres no point and the staff wouldn't be talking about anther tall forward they know it wont work now days.

Again where did this comment come from?

Don't forget he is a very good defender too. Infact, if he stays at the Lions i think he will be an AA backmen next year.

Surely we don't want a bloke who has cracked the s***s with his club and walked out on them because he sees he won't have the opportunities he thinks he deserves...

Oh hang on, he's coming to us not leaving us?

Well that's okay then.

Also as younger was an excellent onballer. Some say as good as you will see in the midfield so he can play anywhere. Must get him if we get a chance at 32.

If he wanted to go to Carlton he would have been smarter to have agreed to the trade that way he would have got included.
Brisbane would only have had to give a little more then to get the deal done.

Now he has no guarantee that another club wont take him in the pre-season draft.

Koschitzke 48 goals from 23 games including finals.
Bradshaw 50 goals from 19 games including finals.

Both a versatile players who can play other roles than full forward.

He would be handy addition to our team whilst the premiership window is open, but I doubt we could fit him in the salary cap.

However due our late position in the pre-season draft our only hope of getting him would be if he went into the national draft.
He is unlikely to do that because only the pre-season draft allows him to set his first years salary.

Being second last in the order is a big reason why we might skip it.

YES, we are a chance to snare Bradshaw, albiet a very minor chance.

Wouldn't mind him, he'd be that third tall/ medium forward we've been looking for, but he wont be there at pick 32.

He will nominate for the pre season draft but if he nominated for the main draft he certainly would be there after pick 32. No way he wojuld go before that.

Do we really want to use our only top 60 pick on him though?
