take you pick
Raph is in our best 22 if he wasnt playing against bulldogs we would have lost .The first tackle in the Grand Final was Sam Fisher fault because he didnt block Rooke. To you all Raph bashers get a life or surport another team

Spot on Jabber.
Plus he had no support behind him (including voice) and no switching support accross the ground.
We did that twice and burnt Dawson in a similar break down of team rules front and centre on the 50M defensive line.
Geelong tried to populate the corridor and we fell into the trap of going there to players with no supports - twice.
I can only imagine what Silvagni may have had to say.
Baker played a wonderful, disciplined game towelling a highly credentialled player but I just wonder now if we are looking for a highly skilled small defender with pace and precise delivery - hence Peake.
Someone who can defend the skilled small forward and then create from deep in defence - including by making space as cover.
They have gone after Peake for a reason - and it is not our mid-field rotations because Lovett, Steven and Armitage will all come into the equation there along with Clarke.
Ball is well and truly covered if he continues on his current tack - then he has to earn an AFL game at St Kilda and therein lies his current predicament because he is obviously looking at the competion on our list and querying how he is to get a regular game.

correct. He's a bit of a playmaker when he's up and running in a creative role. don't like him as a close-checking defender.boneless23 wrote:Raph has more upside than McDonald.
We have seen how good he can play (08 finals series, 09 PF).
We just need him to be a bit more consistent and close the gap between his good and bad games.
he's an onballer, winger or half-forward for mine.
