I think Mat Lappin was delisted!Milton66 wrote:OK, let's try this one... Along with our boom recruiting, we also traded a few stars in our time. So I've had a crack at a team of players we let go over the years.
Feel free to add.
B: Wakelin,D. Shanahan. Malthouse
HB: Elliott, R. Perovic. Wakelin, D
C: Trott. Elliott,G. Rae (?)
HF: Lappin. Greene. Rice
F: Hall. Lockett. O'Brien
R: Ditteritch, Fletcher, Stewart
INT: J Smith.
Can't recall who else. I think we traded Galt to Carlton and Grambeau to Melbourne from memory.

Sean Simpson
The Cowans twins (SA)
Tony Brown (SA)
Daniel Healy (WA)
That would be the Gowans twins, James and Chris, who have gone on to have tremendous careers at Central Districts. I actually think they've have played in the last 8 premierships sides!!!
Did we delist:
Joel Smith
Joey McClaren

We traded Grant. Disgraceful how they handled it. Shame, he was a gem, and fell out after being offered for the Greg Williams effort.bergholt wrote:i thought we did, and this site agrees:Milton66 wrote:I don't think we ended up trading Grant.

unfortunately he played 7 games for melbourne after being pretty much a champion at st kilda. 184cm! i remember him a bit taller than that.
Anyone list Russell Jeffrey.
Worst trade BY FAR was Russell Greene.
Gordon Fode couldda been Plugga
I reckon Ian Stewart has that covered. He won the brownlow in 1971 for Richmond. We lost by less than a kick to Hawthorn in the GF that year. I think we can work out what that trade cost us.groupie1 wrote:We traded Grant. Disgraceful how they handled it.
