I had heard he was to be delisted. Not sure why, but the OP seems to indicate he wanted to go back home.
however if you read the NT news item he says that he wants to try again?

or was that not true?

That's right.. If he was so home sick he wouldn't want to get drafted again. So those rumours must be false..

I was very surprised that he got delisted by the pies. Played very well in a few of their games that I watched. Must be off field issues with him.

Hey, I said don't quote me

Sorry, I remember you mentioned he was going, but it must of been someone else who said he was homesick....

The club has not publically or officially delisted anyone or promoted anyone.

There are 3 stages to the process:

Stage 1: club tells the player - this has been done in the case of Tungatalum and he has made it public up in the NT.

Stage 2: club tells the media - this has not been done with any player.

Stage 3: club makes it official by submission of List Lodgement to the AFL.
In the case of promoted and delisted rookies this MUST take place in List Lodgement No 1 due by 30 October.
Senior players can be officially retired, delisted or veteraned at this time but there are further opportunities for these actions.

Howard, Haretuku, etc are far from safe.
St Kilda played in the Grand Final
Teams that did not make the 8 or were eliminated early in the finals are more advanced with their list assessment and management because they have had more time since the end of their season.
St Kilda will catch up before 30 October.

Luke Ball and... Steven King?

I'd like to see Kingy in more of a coaching ruck role next year. It's Mac time.

St Kilda can officially delist Ball on 30 October but if they want to keep him they will wait for him to decide.
That's the day we see whether the club seriously wants him to stay.
If St Kilda wait, but he wants to go into the National Draft he has until 10 November or until 1 December for the Pre-Season Draft.

Thought he had. Certainly has a contract in front of him.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

This was in the Sports confidential section in the Sun a couple of days ago - it stated that Kingy was to take on a coaching/playing role at the club next year. I was surprised not to see it mentioned in the football section - not just the odd spot page... Very good news i thought!

If he had, the club would surely have announced it.
