2010 FIXture LEAKS !!
If this year is the same as previous years, all clubs will have received a copy of the 2010 FIXture and will be required to comment on it by Friday 16 October. The AFL knows that they cannot stop the leaks filtering out this week and will be leaking bits n pieces themselves just to keep footy in the papers.
There has only been ONE leak so far and that is that St Kilda will only play Geelong once in 2010 (mid season). This was leaked by Geelong to Bruce Eva a week ago and I suspect that the AFL would not be too happy with them for it.
Please post in this thread any leaks you hear or read !!

I used to like the Thursday night game against Brisbane to kick the season off.doggerel wrote:Disappointing that there will be no GF replay against the Cats in the first week.
I imagine will get Sydney at Etihad on Saturday night like just about always.

Prefer Saturday arvo, twilight or evening games personally.
Know Friday night games are great for TV, but a pain to get to when you are working in the suburbs.
Actually believe Saturday Twilight games would be good, between the afternoon and evening game.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
FWIW i don't think there should ever be 2 games on at the same time. I think the current schedule should look something like this:
Thursday: 7.40pm
Friday: 7.40pm
Saturday: 11.00am
Saturday: 2.00pm
Saturday: 5.00pm
Saturday: 7.40pm
Sunday: 12.00pn
Sunday: 3.40pm
With all games being shown live, without ads during the 1/4's (Like Foxsports)

Friday: 7.40pm

It would be like going to the junior footy
That would be 9.00am in WA. I doubt it very much !!

Good point.....if we just got 7 and 10 to show all game LIVE I can live with adverts during the quarters.saint66au wrote:So..umm..how do you propose that the stations recoup the $750m they are forked out for the right to show said games??With all games being shown live, without ads during the 1/4's (Like Foxsports)
Tinshake? A telethon?
For sure we will get a Monday night game, and probably against Collingwood again. I realise not everyone likes them, but I don't mind that we pioneered something new...one a season isn't to bad.
We provided the AFL with some of the best games of the last decade this year (according to many) so I think we will receive a very favourable draw.

I like the Saturday night games and the Sunday twilight games. I know a lot of people hate the Sunday twilight, but I found them great because of still being able to get to the games after Junior sport. My son and I had to turn up late to a couple of the 2pm sunday games as his own game only starts at 12.30 and finishes at 1.45. Given we already paid for them via our membership we still went even though we didn't get there until qtr time (against Brisbane and Melbourne). It helps when you think you will more than likely win...lol...
So I'd personally like lots of Saturday day, Saturday night and Sunday twilights and definately several games at the MCG.
