You'd better talk to shytestreet about that one. Clearly he's got one hand down Luke Balls dacks and the other down his managerssaint75 wrote:Melbourne has already spoken to Luke Balls' management. The only way they will get him if there is a 'gentleman's agreement' that it is understood that he will only go to Collingwood. Judd did it with Carlton (Richmond could have picked him up before Carlton), so it is not completely unrealistic that this could happen.claystreet wrote:Malthouse says that they haven't ruled out getting Luke Ball through the pre-season draft
Will be interesting to see what happens between now and the PSD. Ross, the coaching staff and Luke will have quite a few 'meaningful' discussions I would think.
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

I'm stoked to be honest, never wanted him to go. If we ended up with Lovett for Ball, that would only be a small net gain. Imagine if we got both, much more significant improvement to our best 22.
There's still the whole PSD thing, but surely if he's too proud to play in the VFL, Luke wouldn't be willing to play for s*** clubs like Melbourne, Richmond or Freo (he wouldn't last to a half decent club). Plus I don't think he'd dog us by walking for nothing.

Yep the media stormed him as they were leaving directly after 2PM.SainterK wrote:Well Ross said the contract was on the table, corrected himself, said it was off the table, and then said they were going to talk...
This makes me lean to the fact that Ross was thinking out loud, and hasn't ruled out keeping him
Got the distinct feeling Ross unprepared to answer the questions!

I am not Lyon and I dont know the friend of a drycleaner that Ball pops into so...
would hate to see him go, because I love the way he goes about his game.
if he goes, I will still appreciate they way he plays his footy
if he stays I will not have to eat my angry hasty POV
I am going to wait for the book before I decide either way

Paul Connors
The common denominator between Ball & Judd = PAUL CONNORS.
Tried to hold their respective clubs to ransom, and was successful with one.....but the karma bus well and truly hit Carlton today!!!

Err no.
Judd was TRADED to Carlton.
Judd was never in the PSD
And IF the Dees did trade him there are still clubs like Nort etc.

Judd was picked up by Carlton during trade week, he did not go through the pre-season draft.
