He wanted to stay!
Luke Ball
Before everyone slags off at Ball I heard from a reliable source that it was the club who put him out for trade,he was asked which club he would have a preference for.
He is one very shattered young man!
So if we retain him give him a go!

I'll take that, coming from you because I know you have some "inside" access.saint1974 wrote:Luke Ball

However, I also query why he didn't sign.
Was it an ultimatum from the club? As a result of Luke not accepting the contract?
Something does not add up here.

Because he felt unloved and wanted to leave because the coach asked him to play to the game plan.ausfatcat wrote:then why didn't he sign the contract in June?
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

He's had a THREE YEAR DEAL on the table for months!
Three years for a bloke who struggles to move and kick?!
And he didn't sign it????
And a coach who kept saying 'he's a required player.'
And a club who told them what they needed and - apparently - guided him through a process so he could improve and fit in again.
Come on. Puh-lease...
Every chance he'll be at Freo and what a wasteful shame that will be.
But I can't see he'll be blaming anyone but himself...
Of course, so it appears...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

A 3 year contract would tell me that I was loved and wanted.
Don't get me wrong, I love Bally and the way he went about his footy before being injured. He never really recatured that form or flair.
I hope I'm wrong, but maybe he wasn't prepared to put in the hard yards to get back on top like other of our players have done.

IF It is to be it is up to me.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.
