Rubbish - if that was the case, we wouldn't be allowing him to leave, and Ross would have given him more game timeS.A Saint wrote:of course he will do them good...the only in and under player that they have is obree and he is 31 years of age...he would suit them perfectly of getting the ball out to the likes of pendlbury swan didak davis and all their other running players...we about 80% time on ground i can see having having about 35 touches a game...and you know they aint going to be cheap kicks or handballs..more like hardball gets and clearances....Bernard Shakey wrote:He won't do them any good, but then again it doesn't matter to us anymore.SainterK wrote:I still think Luke will go to Collingwood, I think they want him....
Where does this leave Ball?

You cant stop a player if he wants to leave..plus his contract is running out..ross wanted him to stay by offering him a 3 year contract...which ball refused back in june or whenever..ffs some people need to open their eyes a bit...Moods wrote:Rubbish - if that was the case, we wouldn't be allowing him to leave, and Ross would have given him more game timeS.A Saint wrote:of course he will do them good...the only in and under player that they have is obree and he is 31 years of age...he would suit them perfectly of getting the ball out to the likes of pendlbury swan didak davis and all their other running players...we about 80% time on ground i can see having having about 35 touches a game...and you know they aint going to be cheap kicks or handballs..more like hardball gets and clearances....Bernard Shakey wrote:He won't do them any good, but then again it doesn't matter to us anymore.SainterK wrote:I still think Luke will go to Collingwood, I think they want him....
Moods, it is very likely that Luke will get improved game time....that doesn't mean it's good for him. He has a chip on his shoulder, he will go somewhere with a point to prove....and I can see him burning out very young.Moods wrote:Rubbish - if that was the case, we wouldn't be allowing him to leave, and Ross would have given him more game timeS.A Saint wrote:of course he will do them good...the only in and under player that they have is obree and he is 31 years of age...he would suit them perfectly of getting the ball out to the likes of pendlbury swan didak davis and all their other running players...we about 80% time on ground i can see having having about 35 touches a game...and you know they aint going to be cheap kicks or handballs..more like hardball gets and clearances....Bernard Shakey wrote:He won't do them any good, but then again it doesn't matter to us anymore.SainterK wrote:I still think Luke will go to Collingwood, I think they want him....

Yes, but please correct me if I am wrong...claystreet wrote:The Carlton will have 2 mids who can get the pill but jump up and down in one spot, its there 3rd mid that they are blocking for and feeding thats the problem.
WTF has Carltoon got to with this thread???
Ball is uncontracted, hence he can choose what Club he wants to nominate and it aint Carlton...
Ball has nominated Collingwood and if a deal can't be done with them, he will go to the pe season draft and the first Club with a pick in that draft is Melbourne, who are running under $500K under the salary cap.
The Saints are running at 100% of their salary cap
So just what is the point of your thread??
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

Not really surprising no-one is stampeding his manager with offers.
Fact is that whilst he is a ball magnet and great tackler
- his disposal is ordinary
- he can't and won't even attempt a shot at goal from 30m
- he is slow by modern standards
- he has been poor value
- and he is incapable of keeping between the two interchange lines

Kicking for goal is terrible. Kicked only 3 for the year, Armo also kicked 3 with way less chances...Enrico_Misso wrote:Not really surprising no-one is stampeding his manager with offers.
