So now he's been bordering on s*** for years, huh?

Lmao.

If that were true, nobody would care that he was leaving.

It's all very well to jump and down because someone in Luke's camp said his position is untenable at St Kilda... say he's mudslinging and damaging his reputation... but I tell you, some on here aren't exactly covering themselves with glory either.
Thanks lemon....cause we really MATTER on here..FFS..
No, we don't. Still... pretty funny to call someone a dud because you're mad their leaving your club. Somewhat contradictory, don't you think?

And you can't really accuse anyone else of lacking class while displaying none yourself... whether you're behaviour matters or no.

Who did I quote in my first post, you muppet?

I never said you called him a dud.

Thinline, however, did.

Are you for real?

YOU quoted MY post that was in response to Thinline, in order to give me the valuable insight that our views on here don't matter.

I simply responded to YOUR quoting of my post and clarified my point... a point that was directed at another poster, not you.

Your mindless vitriol offers nothing to this forum. I suggest you pee off.

The classism is a bit rich.

Luke saw Steven and he saw Armitage and he saw his OP and saw the writing on the wall. If he wants to play as an integral part of a senior AFL team he needs to do it at another club.

If we didn't lose Luke Ball this year, we'd have lost Armitage the next.

I feel for the kid. Couldda been anything. Thomas threw him under packs when he was 19, injured, and still finding his feet. That's when you play them at half back and let them get used to the big bodies. Grant Thomas and that f***-knuckle incompetent mother fucker Chris Jones - guy who's dimwitted ineptitude cost us at least one, probably two flags (04 and 05) - the meat-and-potatoes guy (some will know what I'm talking about), destroyed Luke Ball and that's the sad thing about all this.
I agree with your last 3 paragraphs groupie, but the classism goes to the sense out of this of a bloke who likely has an extremely high sense of self regard - probably relatively justifiably so - however when a bloke who has been told, and when the sun actually does shine out of his arse for all his life....... private school, top marks in VCE, top cricketer, AFL star, top bloke etc. etc. - well, when the wheels fall off, as they have done this year.... well I suggest to you that the dummy gets spat out.

Dress it up however you like, in essence that is what this is about... Luke sees that he is being challenged to keep his spot in the Saints team and he no longer backs himself to beat off ther challengers. Can there be any doubt that he deserved to be dropped this year? Can there be any doubt that if he rediscovered his form of 2006 that he would be an automatic starter?

Luke's problems have always been framed to be physical ones. I'm beginning to realise that there are mental challenges that he has not been able to overcome also. A shame, but also, the cold, hard, truth. Welcome back to the land of the midgets Luke.

Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...

And I stand by it.

He was given the kick up the arse he apparently needed after YEARS of indifferent effort/contribution (injury or not), he came back and strung a few reasonable half games together once the gravity of his circumstances was made apparent, and despite that he runs off sooking post-season because - gasp, shock, horror - the club thinks it reasonable that they not be held to ransom by a player who a) thinks his value is substantially greater than it is, and b) whose output was severely compromised by physical shortcomings.

And on top of all this he's had a contract on the table for months!!

I think Ball's exit has been as graceless and tasteless as I can remember.

He's come across as selfish, egotistical, greedy and incomprehensibly unreasonable.

If you want to float around with your head in the sky and do and say whatever you have to do to rationalise Ball's existence then go nuts.

I don't care what you say, though. I will always think you are wrong. Equally, I will always think it eminently justifiable to consider latter day Ball a grossly overrated and self-obsessed underachiever.

I welcome the opportunity his departure gives someone who will cherish the chance.

Luke Ball. Stuff you.

sound pretty angry there mate.

chin up little tacker, I'm sure you'll be able to wear your no. 14 jumper soon as another player steps into it and makes a name for himself.. tho I don't know if it will be able to fit as that chip on your shoulder is pretty intense.

i just wonder what selfish thoughts were running through his mind when he threw his head into pack after pack, time after time. what a self glorifying PIG!

Did I dispute he put his head over it? Did I dispute his courage?

I disputed his ethics when his ability to do the good stuff long enough is not a zot on what he thinks it is.

Do you want to keep the debate on track?

Or do you just want to sling a verbal to feel a mild stirring in your trunks ?
