I love Raph. I just get nervous sometimes when he has the ball. Would be more comfortable if we moved him a little closer to our goals rather than theirs. Lovett, X and Raph in the same team firing will be f...g awesome to watch next year, if they can all get a game. Lovett may free Raph up to move to a wing or forward.

Actually if you watch the replay, Byrnes only burnt Raph once.
Raph held him up long enough for help once, the other time, Raph did the smart thing and tripped him to deliberately give him a free kick, giving our defenders time to zone off and block up the Geelong forward line.
Keep Raph, but I agree he'd be more damaging on the wing or Half forward flank.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Ease the responsibility on Raph a bit (but still be accountable) and let him play his natural game ... like Xavier was allowed to do in his fist few seasons. He will be fantastic. Raph and his brother are natural footballers.

Dont bother conversing with an idiot.

If it wasn't for Raph in the final qtr v the Dogs we wouldn't have even made the GF.

Morons like doristhecabbage are just brainless haters.

I'd trust Ross Lyon over these flogs any day.

Raph was great in the last half in the prelim and was poor in the GF.

I am judging him on his career so far not the last 2 games of the year

The fact that he can get very lost out on the ground is the reason i would like to see him out of the team hope he proves me wrong

yet he was one of our best in two finals series running. He has come back from a terrible back injury among other things. Has had some very good games and will only get better. Yet you suggest that a VFL reserves team would not have him. Thats bulls*** and shows you up........

I question the loyalty of the person who started this thread and several who have replied. Are they really Saint supporters or other club supporters stirring things up? If they claim to be Saint supporters they are not good ones.

doristhesaint from Geelong. I think that says it all.

Raph is a keeper.

Sure, trade away players that are on the verge of a breakout season

Just my opinion for what it's worth, I think Raph is actually a great playmaker....he reads the play, takes risks, yet people focus on the times it doesn't work rather than the times it does.

I see Dawson as another player who has this kind of instinct....

I may be wrong, but that is just my take on it

I couldn't give a flying duck what anyone thinks, I like Raph. Always puts his body on the line, can stand his ground and take a strong mark. If he can learn to compose himself a little and be more decisive, the critics will be made to eat their words.

He's well coached and will improve in 2010.

What's a week without a Raph-bagging thread?

I don't look at other forums but I wonder who each club's whipping boy is.

Maybe we can name an All Australian Whipping Boy Team
