What if luke ball does not get traded because a suitable deal could not be found, would he stay with the saints or do you think he would go into the draft???

Hotel De Los Muertos: Your room is ready... Care to step inside?
I'd always know he was only out there because he couldn't go where he wanted to. No matter how many more games he played for us, or how well he played them, we would only ever be a consolation prize to him. Surely knowing that would have to affect the unity of the playing group.Ralphy wrote:Dont want him doesnt want to play for us, then why should we keep him?
No, sorry Luke. Much as I've loved you, you can't ever be the same loyal Saint to me again.

will be down to two options then
saints offer him a contract, he decides to take it or not. If not he enters the PSD
saints delist him and he enters the PSD and puts a price on his head.

I don't believe Carlton is serious about trading Fev.
If any contender team approaches them they make the trade too hard.
The lower clubs will not trade good picks for Fev because he will be washed up by the time their window opens.
However the lower clubs would take Fev in a flash if he went into the pre-season draft.
St Kilda can do the same with Luke Ball.
He does not want to go to a non contender, he will not risk the pre-season draft.
If St Kilda does not trade him, he is forced to come back with his tail between his legs.
With Andrew Lovett inside the cap, Ball would be forced to take the scraps to play finals footy.
Gold Coast's tilt at the flag is too far away for Luke.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

With Jolly wanting to come to Melbourne that opens the door for Fev at the Swans...both trade wise and salary cap wise.ace wrote:I don't believe Carlton is serious about trading Fev.

Might need a three-way deal though.
Pies or Hawks trade something of value to the Blues and they get Jolly.
IMO Jolly would be a much better get and fit for the Pies than Fev. ((Didak and Fev might not be a good idea!!!!)
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
If gametime is really the issue with Bally, then IMO he is lost to us
I cant see RL changing his stance on where he fits in for 2010 just cos we cant get a trade for him..so..Luke says bugger it I want to be a senior member of a midfield, goes in the PSD, gets picked up by Melb/Rich/North...and we dont get one red cent for a former captain and No 3 Pick in the best draft of all
That scenario, my friends, would make the natives very restless..and it can easily happen as Luke is out of contract
We must, must find a trade for him.
